QUESTIONS FOR STUDENTS How was the pandemic in your country? Were there many restrictions? What were you able to do? What not? Did you also have some positive experiences during the pandemic? Did you have some positive experiences related to culture (listening to music, cooking, virtual museum visits, theater,...) during the pandemic? Can you give a few examples of music, cooking, museum visits or theatre performances you enjoyed online?

Finally, I think the pandemic woke me up and taught me that everything I did for people was very grateful. All I did it was through music, because music might help our emotional life especially in difficult times. VÉCUS DU CONFINEMENT Le mois de mars 2020, et du jour à lendemain, j’apprends que cet après-midi nous ne retournerons pas à l’école. Deux semaines avant les vacances de Pâques le cours s’arrête et on ne sait pas pour combien de jours. C’est le confinement que tout de suite répercute sur tous les secteurs de la société sauf sur les services essentiels. Le printemps s’annonce autrement que d’habitude&nbsp;: la journée se prolonge, les oiseaux nous éveillent le matin et les voisins se font plus visibles. L’emplacement de mon appartement est calme et ça se renforce dû au confinement. En plus il dispose d’une terrasse d’où on voit la surface céleste. Alors j’ai la disposition idéale et aussi le temps de créer un lien avec cet espace. Donc avec mon enfant on s’attache au silence et au déclenchement du printemps. Mes expériences sur internet se limitent à répondre à mon travail. Je fais en sorte de rester en communication avec ce qui m’entoure. C’est pour ça qu’avec mon fils on partage toujours l’expérience musicale et on propose à nos voisins de jouer sur les balcons tous les jours à midi. Sílvia Casas C1 français

Hello everyone!! I want to share with you my personal experience about the lockdown and covid restrictions related to my work as a music teacher and gospel choir director. First of all, I want to tell you that one year ago I was shocked, like everyone in my country, about the situation generated by Covid-19. It was a very hard, stressful and weird circumstance. But that didn’t stop me from believing I could do something to improve people’s spirits. I’m not a frontline worker. I’m not in health care, but I thought I could help my people using my personal way as a music teacher and gospel choir director. I thought the pandemic won’t beat me, and I refused to let it destroy my creative ambitions and all the dreams I had been working towards. When I was in confinement, I realized that it was quite important to stay connected to the world. So I still tried to teach people through doing live instagram rehearsals and meetings with my choir on internet platforms like meet or zoom. Also support culture while attending to concerts or theater performances by streaming. I was feeling like I was doing my best fighting Coronavirus.

TASK PANDEMIC AND CULTURE During the national lockdown&nbsp;I could go to work but, in Spain, restrictions&nbsp;were&nbsp;very hard&nbsp;at the beginning. All the people had to stay&nbsp;at&nbsp;home and they could only go to work or did&nbsp;home office. Bars and restaurants were closed and only supermarkets and pharmacies&nbsp;were open. It was so stressful. I missed going to&nbsp;museums, I love it.&nbsp;One day one friend sent me links to different museums&nbsp;for&nbsp;free.&nbsp;It was very funny because I could visit them online. It was amazing. There were: Thyssen-Bormenisza, Museum of Prado, British Museum, Metropolitano of New York, Musee d’Orsay et de l’Oragnerie, Smithsonian, MuseumMusieum of Louvre, MuseumMusieum of modern art of Seul, Uffizi Gallery and MuseumMusieum of Van Gogh. On this this visit, I walked into the virtual space.&nbsp;Some museums used google maps with street views. You could use the zoom or click emergent information to get more information /details about&nbsp;each&nbsp;picture. The Museum of Prado did not use this application but their presentations were about different pictures with more information about it. It was interesting, too.

Erasmus plus activity During this pandemic I didn’t waste my time: I studied a lot and I enjoyed some hobbies that I have, like reading books or watching movies. These hobbies entertained me and let me rest for studying since during the national lockdown I was preparing for Selectivitat, a very difficult exam that you have to do to enter university. I’ve to say that I didn’t visit any museums or other places of interest online, because I think that in order to appreciate a museum or other places you have to be physically there. For this reason, I wish I had travelled to my favourite cities, as Maputo and Dodoma, and had taken part in any guided tours of these spectacular and beautiful cities. Nevertheless, due to the restrictions of the pandemic,&nbsp; I couldn’t travel to these gorgeous cities.&nbsp; Furthermore, I didn’t learn how to cook as I’ve never been identified with this discipline. Expérience de mon confinement Quand le confinement est arrivé, j’étais à Perpignan. On devait rester dans la maison, la frontière entre la France et l’Espagne était bloquée et, finalement, on ne pouvait sortir que pour faire les choses essentielles comme aller au supermarché ou à la pharmacie.&nbsp; Le couvre-feu était à 2o heures et une alarme de guerre sonnait pendant quelques minutes. C’était très étonnant. Comme j’étais enfermé dans une salle de 20m2 avec mon fils d’un an et demi, on jouait tout le temps, pendant que mon mari travaillait à la salle de côté avec son ordinateur. Malgré la situation si mauvaise, on a pu profiter du temps avec notre petit enfant. En fait, c’était la meilleure chose du confinement.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On utilisait souvent le portable pour appeler les amis et surtout nos parents qui restaient au-delà de la frontière. Personnellement, j’ai profité pour inaugurer ma propre chaîne de Youtube&nbsp;: Le Muffin de Proust. Dans cette chaîne je m’amusais en parlant de livres pour la jeunesse.&nbsp; Bref, on peut dire que mon expérience autour du confinement a été très oppressante.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Juan Romero Maní&nbsp;- C1 français

Covid Echange d'Expériences 2020-2021

It has been a year since most countries of the world confined themselves because of the&nbsp;pandemic. It&nbsp;has been hard: the virus, the restrictions, the fear ... all of these consequences&nbsp;have&nbsp;weighed heavily on us. We present here an activity that tries to see how things have been in the different member countries, what feelings&nbsp;have been&nbsp;felt and, above all, what are the positive aspects&nbsp;about&nbsp;culture and cultural heritage that we have seen.

The&nbsp;participants&nbsp;expressed&nbsp;their opinions, their states of mind in this&nbsp;handbook&nbsp;which you can access and, afterwards, carried out a&nbsp;zoom activity to discuss&nbsp;and exchange their experiences.

My mother’s house is bigger than my flat and has a small garden and two big terraces, which I really enjoyed during all the lockdown time. In the morning and after lunch I usually worked in front of my computer. As you can imagine, I had online friend’s and family’s meetings and as a result, I tried to avoid the screen in my free time. It was a good decision because I rediscovered some of my old and loved hobbies, such as the reading, to listen to the radio and cooking, which I had a little abandoned. It was fantastic because all these activities gave me a lot of satisfaction. Each book we read is an open door to different lives, stories that sometimes you will never forget. The radio is a very good friend for me, it is a friendly voice which goes everywhere you go, it’s information, it’s knowledge. And cooking? Cooking is funny, creative; it is something you can share with whom you love and it is delicious. I really enjoy cooking but I love eating too. At night, I listened to music on an old turntable. It was fantastic to listen to my old vinyl records... I am very social, I need people, the physical contact, the conversation, but this lockdown time allowed me to rediscover my lonely side and I really enjoyed it, probably because I knew that it would be a close end. PROJET ERASMUS La pandémie est survenue après quelques semaines de minimisation de l'infection. Les autorités ont déclaré que la santé publique espagnole pourrait vaincre la contagion du virus. Pourtant, l'évolution de la pandémie a explosé au début mars. Le 14 mars, le gouvernement espagnol a annoncé l’état d’alerte. Au cours des trois mois suivants, il y a eu un confinement à domicile.&nbsp; J'appartenais à un club de lecture en anglais et nous avons dû diriger les réunions par voie électronique. Ça a été une réussite parce qu’il y a eu de nouveaux membres, y compris une personne des Pays-Bas.&nbsp;J'ai également écouté des podcasts en anglais et j’ai rédigé des résumés pour m'entraîner à l'écriture.&nbsp; À la maison, nous lisions à haute voix notre journal numérique et commentions l'actualité. Nous nous sommes abonnés à Netfllix et nous avons vu un fantastique documentaire intitulé «Octopus Teacher». Jesús Moreno Giner- B1 français

I come from Spain, I live in a little town near Barcelona. Our national lockdown was strict and long. At the beginning, everything was strange, everyone was frightened, we didn’t know what would happen, we were a little fool. After some time, all what had been surprising, unexpectable, became normal. I think that this is a singular feature of human people, our adaptability. During the lockdown, I lived in my mother’s house for three months. I went to live with her because she is in her eighties, she lives alone and at that moment she has just left the hospital. She was very weak and she needed help and somebody who looked after her. I worked from my mother’s house. It was hard because the house wasn’t technically prepared to work in it, but this situation offered me several opportunities that I couldn’t expect. I feel that to live with my mother after too many years, to take care of her, was a good opportunity to return her a little of what she had given to me during my life. We could talk a lot, laugh, share...

La pandémie dans notre pays a été très dure. Le pire, ce sont les nombreux décès. Les agents de santé ont fait tout leur possible pour soigner les personnes infectées. Les hôpitaux ont parfois été débordés pendant la pandémie. Au cours de ces derniers mois de Covid19, de nombreuses restrictions ont été imposées en fonction du risque de contagion et des données épidémiologiques. Ces limitations ont gravement porté préjudice à l'économie en général et aux entreprises en particulier. Ces privations ont eu un impact sur les heures d'ouverture des entreprises et sur la mobilité des personnes. Au début de la pandémie, je ne pouvais pas rendre visite à mes parents ou à mes amis. J'ai compensé cet empêchementt en passant des appels téléphoniques virtuels. J'ai essayé d'adopter une attitude positive et de suivre un rythme de vie normal adapté aux circonstances, c'est-à-dire de faire du sport, d'étudier, d'avoir des contacts avec des collègues, etc.&nbsp; À présent, la situation est en train de s’améliorer et nous pouvons voir notre famille et nos copains.
