Manual Mode (M)
Manual Mode (M) is the image option on a camera that allows the photographer to have more control over the camera's technology. Manual mode allows the photographer to manually set the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO simultaneously.

By manually controlling shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, a photographer has the ability to capture more purposeful images and obtain desired results.
Overview
Shutter Speed
Controls how fast or slow the shutter inside the camera opens and closes. Controls how much light enters the camera and reaches the sensor

Aperture
Controls the amount of light that passes into the camera and reaches the sensor by opening and closing like the pupil of an eye
