Nissan

Monozukuri Caravan is an exciting opportunity for our Year 6 children to experience the world of manufacturing through an interactive workshop,  based at the Nissan Sunderland plant. The session has been developed by Nissan to allow young people to see, hear and touch in a safe learning environment. The children experienced the equipment and methods used in Europe’s biggest and most efficient car plant.

One of Nissan’s robots, that they use to build cars, chose two Year 6’s to say hello to! We were all amazed that the robot could read the name tags and write them down! 

A car manufacturing assembly line with Lego 

We competed against children from various schools in Newcastle and Sunderland to build a car (using Lego) the quickest. We came 4th! <br/><br/>Our assembly lines consisted of 6 different stations.
