Volunteering is a voluntary act of an individual or group freely giving time and labour for community service.Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work, such as medicine, education, or emergency rescue.
Others serve on an as-needed basis, such as in response to a natural disaster.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The aim of this project was to promote volunteering. Some of the pupils who have previous volunteering experience will serve as mentors to other pupils. Pupils will see the humanitarian side of volunteering, be creative and make products to find donations for peers in need.

PROJECT AIMS FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS
- learn how to make crafts and develop their creativity
- raise awareness about ecology and sustainability by making ecological products
- have the opportunity to volunteer in the local community
- widen their industry-related skills by knowing how to make and place a product on the market

PLANNED TIMELINE
OCTOBER 2020: registering the project and lecture on e-safety
NOVEMBER: signed parental consents, making pupils' profiles and introduction of the project to pupils, parents and teachers
DECEMBER: presentations of pupils, teachers, schools, cities and countries
JANUARY: presenting the products or results of CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR workshop
FEBRUARY: VALENTINE'S DAY workshop
MARCH: WOMEN'S DAY workshop
APRIL: EASTER / SPRING workshop
MAY: joint activities, evaluation and results
JUNE 2021: dissemination and end of the project
