Now do this finger play with us.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
Once I caught a fish alive.
6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
Then I let him go again.
Why did you let him go?
Because he bit my finger so.
Which finger did he bite?
This little finger on my right!

How about one more song. This one is fun. It's a classical piece by a French composer and he wrote it over 100 years ago. His name is Camille Saint Saens. This is one song from a bigger composition he wrote called Carnival of the Animals. This one is about fish. He has others about giraffes, elephants, and other animals. In future story times we will listen to some of the other pieces written by Saint Saens.

If you have a scarf or a small blanket, go get it. You can use it to dance along with this piece. As you listen, see if you can imagine you are swimming in the ocean with the sea animals. The slow, dreamy sounds of this piece remind me of fish. See how many different ways you can swim along with this song. You can pretend to go deeper in the ocean as the music notes go down, you can pretend to roll along the bottom of the ocean floor, and as the music gets louder at the end, you can swim back up to the top of the ocean. Have fun with this!
