Summer 2

We really hope you have enjoyed our online books and seeing the wonderful learning experiences we take part in. Have a lovely Summer and stay safe!

We begun our topic with a dressing up day. We came to school dressed as our favourite character from a traditional story. Throughout the day we read stories, made  a crown, played traditional games, built a castle in the construction area and finished the day with a 'Traditional Ball' on the field with music and dancing.

As part of our topic we completed our own Sports Day. We took part in races alongside teams from Class 1 and 2. It was great fun and we enjoyed using all of our skills to complete the activities. 

We watched a short video clip about Japan. We needed to listen carefully so that we could complete a quiz! The most popular fact about Japan is that on Christmas Eve a tradition is to eat KFC! We discovered how our lives are similar and different also. 

We have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Forest School this term with Mrs Wolfarth. We have made our own jewellery, built dens, read stories, created our own perfume and even tasted marshmallows and digestives from the firepit!

We begun our new topic during an isolation week but that did not stop us learning and finding out about the Olympics. Our home learning for the week involved finding out about the Olympics in the past and present, discovering all about the different sports played at the Olympics as well as learning key facts about a different country, Japan.
