We worked in the play dough area to make our own Gingerbread Men. We rolled the dough and used the cutters. We added buttons and a face too!

When we returned to school after the weekend something strange had happened in our classroom!

We could see flour footprints on the floor and different cooking utensils were scattered around the classroom!

The Gingerbread Man left Class 3 a video! He was on the loose in our classroom so we decided to make posters to put up around our school for everyone to keep a look out for him!

We celebrated Harvest Festival with a socially distant assembly. We recited rhymes and poems all about Harvest to our friends.

We retold the story of The Gingerbread Man by drawing a story map. We spoke about what happened at the beginning, middle and end and how it was important to sequence the story correctly.

The Gingerbread Man left a recipe for us to make our own biscuits. We followed the recipe carefully and added the ingredients to make our very own Gingerbread Men.

In the story, the Gingerbread Man can't cross the river so we designed and built bridges to help him cross it safely.

We placed the Gingerbread Men on a baking tray and Mrs Ibbotson put them in the oven to bake.

We loved eating our Gingerbread Men biscuits!

We carried out an investigation to see what would happen to the Gingerbread Man if we left him in water overnight.

We predicted it would go soggy and crumble due to the water. We were right!
