I have just completed my first field study in plp. I am very tired. This was a very new experience for me, and though I enjoyed it could have personally come at a better time. I am excited to see what the future holds, and grateful for what the past has given me. Thank you Loon Lake Lodge and the PLP teachers for making this happen.

We have not left for Loon Lake yet, and all they have told us is that we will be doing outdoor field studies. I am quite excited to find out what we will be doing. It opens up a lot of possibilities for the week.

The advisory group I was in was named a Bed of Clams, im not sure how to draw one of those. Advisory was twice a day, and a space to reflect on how we were feeling individually and as a group, as well as to find out what our next meal was.

This was us at the battle archery. Battle archery was where we shot foam dart arrows at little kids. This was msotly a team building excercise, and I think it worked pretty well as there were multiple rounds and groups of people each time. We eventually developed a strategy through trial and error and won the overrall game. Very fun experience 9/10

This evening fun I was watching the olympics with some friends. Specifically womens figure skating, which I know nothing about. It was fun to watch, it was also a good game to figure out if I thought something was good, and then go to my friend who used to figure skate and ask them.

During DI we rehearsed what we already had and worked to come up with ideas to improve. It was quite hard to work in a new environment and we struggled ot maintain focus.

One place I found amazing at Loon Lake is just beyond the rope ferry because it&apos;s a place to get away from the buildings.

Our survive the wild for day 2 was fort building. We had a very kind instructor explain different tyes of forts, and how to know its safe. I worked with Claire Gwen and Mickey. We created a lean to inbetween 2 trees, I think if we added some moss it would be an effective fort.

Going on this learning advance has taught me what to prepare for on the next one, rumours say California, I dont think so. I know that all field studies will focus on adapting to new environments and team building with new people, but I hope some of them focus on other aspects of learning.
