I am Karen Bosch, a PreK - 8 Technology Teacher from Southfield Christian School in Southfield, Michigan, USA. I started creating sketchnotes during the summer of 2013. Currently, I use an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil to make my sketchnotes. Most of my notes are created using the Tayasui Sketches Pro app. I create sketchnotes from sermons, at conferences, from books, from videos, and with my students.
These notes were all taken from sermons at Highland Park Baptist Church in Southfield, Michigan. I typically use a two step process to make the sermon notes. I write the text, organize ideas, and do some drawing while listening to the sermon. Then at home, I make a pot of tea, put on some nice music, and finish the drawing and coloring. The time while I finish the notes is one of my favorite parts of my week and is a great opportunity to reflect on the message that I just heard.
I have collected all of my sermon sketchnotes from 2019 in order into ebook format using the Book Creator app. It is a way I can document my creative and spiritual learning. I hope that you enjoy seeing my notes and that the messages may inspire and bless you!
