Week 1 ROTW
(Reflection Of The Week)
Mathematics
In maths this week i learnt about the different parts of 3D (3 Dimensional) shapes, as well as identifying the net. We were given a piece of paper that had all sorts of nets on them. From there we were instructed to build our chosen shape, using the help of the guiding lines that were provided.
Reading
For reading this week I read an article called 'Reducing Our Footprints'. The subject of this book was about greenhouse gases, and how it is toxic to our planet. It also stated the many people that are trying to find solutions in order to prevent further problems. Like extinction, health problems etc.
Writing
In writing this week we were learning how to instruct. So for my topic I wrote a step-by-step guide on how to make toast. First, I had to make a simple set of instructions. Then from there, I had to elaborate and add complex punctuation and words.
Inquiry
In inquiry this week we had watched multiple videos that revolved around animals and their natural habitats. I learnt about biotic and abiotic factors, aswell as the meaning of MRS GREN. We were instructed to take notes and transfer all of our information to a google slide, which gave me the opportunity to create decorative slides.
Week 2 ROTW
(Reflection Of The Week)
Mathematics
In maths this week I started off with identifying the parts of a coordinate plane, and dotting coordinates to make shapes. Then we moved on to reflection symmetry. I learnt how to copy images vertically, horizontally, and diagonally.
Reading
For reading this week I read an article called Climate Change: Our Biggest Challenge. The subject of this book was about climate change, which came with the impact, and how we can prevent such intense events from happening. Further into the story it states the refugees of Kiribati, as well as Jan Wright a woman who has retired from many years of keeping our beaches clean.
