Why do we lose control of our emotions?
Relaxation Strategy #1:
Flower Candle Breathing. In one hand, pretend you have a really nice smelling flower. In the other hand, pretend you have a candle. Take a deep breath in and smell your flower, then blow out your candle. Do this 3 times or until you feel relaxed.
Relaxation Strategy #2:
Create something. Whether it's baking, drawing, writing, making music, or anything else, getting creative allows us to feel productive.
Relaxation Strategy #3:
Stretch your body. When we are upset, sometimes we need to move our bodies in order to calm down. You can use the stretches below.
