Kindred Spirits

This is Lindsay. She has 2 very good friends...

The two talked on the phone for hours and hours. They continued to hang out and grew closer and Lindsay started to feel better and care less about what happened.

But the next day, things got worse as she was tripped, shoved, and called names all day which the school did nothing about.

Lindsay used that time to talk to them about how she changed as a person. They apologized again and explained how they felt terrible for the things they used to say and do to her.

Lindsay is a quiet but friendly girl who generally keeps to herself, with the exception of her few friends. One day, Lindsay stopped at the restroom and told her friends she would catch up with them in the cafeteria.

Later on that day,  she went home to her parents visibly upset and told them what happened. Her parents called the school but the other girls' parents did nothing but give them a very light consequence for their actions.

A boy named Adam was hesitant to believe the mean things about Lindsay and decided to talk to her. They soon became close friends and did everything together.

Lindsay went home and cried wondering what she did wrong. The next few weeks were spent being afraid of people and eating alone at lunch... until one fateful day.

Clara and Victoria walked into the cafeteria while Lindsay trailed a little behind them. Lindsay then heard her name in their conversation. Assuming it was nothing bad, she drew closer without them noticing but then she heard them calling her stupid, ugly, and other nasty things. When they realized she was near and heard everything, they banished her.

&nbsp;Lindsay went to sleep that night and hoped that the whole thing would pass over and everyone would forget about it the next day.

Adam invited Lindsay to see a movie. The two went and had fun and Lindsay felt grateful to have someone be kind like this to her after everything that happened.

Lindsay heard something completely untrue coming from Clara and Victoria and finally stood up for herself with the help of Adam.

After exposing their lies and other horrible things they would say about other students, Clara and Victoria were shunned and everyone apologized to Lindsay.

Although Adam was made fun of for hanging out with Lindsay, he did not cave into the pressure. He just liked Lindsay for who she is.

Lindsay tried to stand up for herself but Victoria and Clara did everything they could to make her sound worse than the other kids.

Other people started jumping in and also started calling her bad things which caused Lindsay to run off on her own.

Years later, Lindsay saw Clara and Victoria unexpectedly. So, Lindsay decided to talk to them.

She accepted them hesitantly because she knew people are capable of change with the right perspective.

This story is dedicated to the one person who taught us a VERY valuable lesson.

With a new friend, Lindsay has a new found confidence that she hadn't had since the incident. She now had the intention to stand up for herself from bullying and wouldn't let it continue anymore.

The next day it was time to go back to school and little did Lindsay know the amazing change that was about to happen to her.

Their experience together taught them a very valuable lesson; be good to people, no matter what, and you will get good things in return.
