sleepover

CHAPTER 1

It was night time and there was no sound, Kevin woke up and checked the time, 12:00? Ima go to the bathroom, he thought. After Kevin flushes the toilet, he hears a strange noise somewhere downstairs. What was that?Ima check it out. As he walks down the hallways that lead to the stairs he hears it again (bang) .”Woah” That sounded like something hit the window. Kevin walked closer (BANG) Kevin heard it again, but this time much closer, someone is throwing rocks at the window! Kevin ran down the stairs and looked out the window which faced the front yard, (BANG) he saw a kid hiding back behind a hedge. “Tony?!” Kevin opens the front door and walks outside, “Tony what are you doing?” The kid stood up from where he hid behind the hedge. “Oh hey Kevin''. Kevin looked at his friend, bewildered, “Why in heck are you throwing rocks at my window?”Tony looked at him with a mischievous expression, “I was bored, mom took away my phone so I can't play Clash of Clans all night, so I thought I would surprise you by coming over for a sleepover.” Kevin stared at him. “And throw rocks at my window? And besides, aren't you too old to do a sleepover and getting your phone taken away?, I mean, you’re 15, and next week i'll be turning 16.” Tony shrugged and said “Come on Kevin you’ve been acting like you're smart and wise ever since you got your driver's permit, and your parents are gone for another week on an early vacation right?, right? Let's just do one more sleepover, Please!. “This is the 5th time this month you’ve come over for a sleepover” Said Kevin. Tony looked desperate, “And? I promise this is the last time.” This kid is always on my nerves ``Fine, but don't throw rocks at my window again” Tony looked overjoyed

“Awesome!, and sorry I meant to hit your bedroom window but I couldn’t throw hard enough with my left hand because my right arm is broken.” Kevin rolled his eyes. When they got inside the house, Tony yelled “Let's play GTA!” Kevin stared at him, “Tony, stop screaming, why do you always scream? And don’t you remember, you broke my tv last sleepover because you got mad and threw the controller at it while playing Call Of Duty ``''Oh” Replied Tony, “Just come up stairs, we can play on my pc. When they Got to Kevin's room, Tony looked at his shelf, “Dang you got the oreo 4’s? These things are crispy, how much you paid for them?” “I got them retail, off the SNKRS app” Tony looked shocked, “Seriously? I pulled up the app on my phone and my tablet to try to cop them, and i didn’t get them” Tony put the shoes back, “that's tough, i got hecka lucky with that drop” Replied Kevin. After a while of playing Call Of Duty, Tony yawned. “I'm getting tired, I'm going to bed.” Kevin pushed him off the bed, “You gotta sleep on the floor, we ain't sleeping together on the bed”. Kevin woke up to something banging around in his room, he opened his eyes to find his cat, stoowart, going crazy. The cat jumped off the cabinet that he was standing on, landed on the bed, flew up, yowling, onto his night stand, then leaped up onto Tony’s head, who shook him off, fell, and ran into Kevins closet . Kevin ran and shut the closet door before the cat could escape, “what is wrong with your cat? Asked Tony,shocked. “He just gets a little rambunctious sometimes. “He nearly clawed my face off,” said Tony. “Anyways, would you like some breakfast?” asked Kevin, “Of course, I'm starving,” replied Tony. As they were heading down stairs Tony asked “What are you planning to make?”. “Waffles of course” Kevin replied, “amazing”. As they were eating, Tony said did you hear that the Chuck e Cheese across the street from Walmart is hiring, maybe in a week when you turn 16, they might still be offering a job?”

 “No, I didn’t hear about that, but i have heard that this kid got eaten there by one of the rats that dance on the stage”. Tony stared at Kevin, “Why do you always believe the conspiracy theories? honestly, you should consider it, i hear it can be hard these days to get a good job, and Chuck E Cheese sounds like a good opportunity, and besides, you can’t just make all your money off of reselling sneakers ``. Kevin looked at Tony, questioningly, “since when did you care about Jobs?”. “I’m just saying, chuck e cheese sounds like a kinda fun job, if i were you, i would take this opportunity”, replied Tony. “Well i guess i do need some money to keep up with all the new sneaker drops that are coming out, i'll think about it”. “Cool, and if you do, don’t forget to hook me up with those university blue 1’s, or maybe sell me the pair that you have?”, said Tony. Kevin looked at him with a surprised look on his face, “So you want them now? I told you that you shouldn’t sleep on that drop, and besides those release like months ago, now they are going for like $400, and i'm keeping mine thanks.”, Tony checked his watch, “Oh shoot i got to go, my mom probably thinks that im just sleeping in”. After the boys said their goodbyes, Kevin went on stock x to look at shoes. The next day Kevin woke up to his alarm clock, he got up, brushed his teeth, washed his face, ate breakfast, put on his jordan 3 fire reds, and headed out the door on his way to the bus stop to go to school. When he got dropped off by the bus, walked to his highschool that was just a block away, he arrived at his first class, after first period, Kevin ran into his other friend, Connor. “Oh sup Connor, what class are you heading to?”. “P.E, we are doing dodgeball, I hope i didn’t eat to many uncrustables”, “Uncrustables, for breakfast? Anyways my next class is computer class, i'll see you at lunch.” replied Kevin. “Good luck on the English presentation, i spent all night trying to complete it.” After computer class, Kevin met up with Tony and Connor at the cafeteria.

 “No, I didn’t hear about that, but i have heard that this kid got eaten there by one of the rats that dance on the stage”. Kevin opened up his lunch box and pulled out his leftover dominos pizza, his favorite. When school ended, Kevin walked home. On his way, he passed the chuck e cheese, he stopped, I'll just go in and see what it's like, when he entered the chuck e cheese, he looked for an employee, he saw one walking around some of the arcades, he walked up to the employee and said, “Hey, what's it like working here?” The employee turned to him and replied, “oh hello, do you want to work here?”, “i'm thinking about it, but i'm not sure”. The employee nodded and said, “It’s not too bad working here, pay could be a little better, but at least you get a 50% discount when you buy from here, so you could eat plenty of pizza during lunch.” Kevin liked the thought of eating a lot of pizza, it was his favorite food. “What else do you want to know?”, Kevin stopped thinking about pizza, “Uh yeah, what do the animatronics do when you close?”,the employee looked confused, “Uh, i'm not too sure, everyone leaves after we close, i would assume they just sit.” “Okay thanks, have a good day” Kevin said “you too” replied the employee. Kevin left the chuck e cheese and walked home. It was about a week later, Kevin's birthday, his parents were back from vacation, and he was blowing the candles on his cake. “Happy birthday!” said his mom and dad sitting around the table. “Now it's time for your birthday gift”, his mom got up and walked into the kitchen, a second later she came back with a small box wrapped in wrapping paper, she set it onto the table. Opened it to find a russian knuckles funko pop, “Thanks mom and dad, it's everything i ever wanted”, “I’m glad you like it, we are both proud of you” his dad replied. While they were eating the cake, Kevin couldn’t stop thinking about working at Chuck e Cheese. I'll get all the pizza and new sneaker releases I want. “Uh hey mom?”, “yes?”,”I think i want to get a job”, “Already? Where?”,”I was thinking about chuck e cheese, I talked to an employee there,

and i think i've made up my mind.”,”Well, i guess we'll see if they are hiring, but you're sure you want to work there?”,”Yes”. It was more than a week later, Kevin was getting ready for his first day of work at Chuck e Cheese, Kevin had passed the interview and officially had the job. Kevin was very nervous, he would be a waiter. When Kevin arrived at the restaurant, he was early, he had already met the team who work there, and the manager, so all he had to do was wait for his shift. He had practice for a long time on what to say, what to do, and how to act. He was greeted by the same employee he had met when he asked him about the job, “Are you ready?” asked the waiter, “Of course” replied Kevin, “Don't worry, it's easy once you get the hang of it, the hardest part is dealing with kids when they throw fits” the employee reassured him. Finally, after almost an hour, it was Kevin's turn to serve. He walked up to the table, where about 8 people were sitting, took the customers orders, took the order list to the kitchen, and that was it was easy. He assisted the guests, and walked around to other tables to assist others. When lunch came around, Kevin ate his lunch and then took over his shift again. About an hour after his lunch break, he was hosting a party, about 13 people were sitting at a table waiting for him to take they’re orders, after taking all they’re orders, and taking them to the kitchen, Kevin served another table. Once the party guests had all gotten their food, one of the guests looked at the food, confused, “I thought i ordered a pizza without olives”, then two of the other guests said the same thing, “I wanted pepperoni with this!” said one “I thought that i ordered it with mushrooms' ' said the other, Kevin had messed up their orders. “Oh im sorry, i'll take those back and get you new pizzas with the right topping, im very sorry”, “Forget it” replied the customer in an upset voice, “Are you sure? I can get you a new one as fast as possible”
