The score was 65 to 67 The feel of the smooth leather in my hands This single shot would affect the entire season The ball was spinning through the air You could see the shot clock winding down You could feel the anticipation of packed gym The buzzer sounded And then the sound of a swish The ball flew right through the net  All that hard work paid off We won the game

I wrote about me starting basketball because it has impacted my life a lot, it was a sport that I fell in love with. Basketball right now is a huge part of my life and has effected my worldview in numerous different ways

The quote in this poems suits with my beliefs really well as the quote says that the best way to guarantee a lost is to quit. I believe that you have to try till the very end, try your best and never quit

I felt this poem really reflected on my mindset how I value different things and how I love learning from others. This poem shows that I never quit and keep trying on and off the court. I am persistent and consistent with anything I want

When I was little I hated basketball But I never really tried it I signed up for a league in grade 5 I instantly fell in love with the sport I was instantly hooked Although I was really bad I never stopped And eventually I got better As I started to learn more and more thing about the sport I realized how many different things there were to do I experimented with different move combos Then I tried them out in games They worked! Then i started to make my own At this time I started to become pretty good I became a more creative player I became a overall better player

The chose the sounds of barking, basketballs bouncing, talking at the dinner table, the rain outside and an airplane landing because these are all sounds around me or the sounds of my values. My dogs always bark at the doorbell, I’m always around basketballs, my family always talks around the dinner table, it rains a lot in Vancouver and me and my family go on trips and love travelling.

April till September is the time to work on your game Getting up shots and practicing for hours at a time The off season is where good players are made September till March is game time The season has started and it’s time to play

This poem explains a couple things about my worldview my geography, my values, my time, my knowledge, and my economy. This poem is a simile meaning every line has like, as, so and than to describe a certain thing. I felt I made some very good comparisons for example my geography is as diverse as a zoo, British Columbia’s geography is very diverse ranging from mountains to temperate rain forests to fields of crops.

As I shift my attention to the world around me, I am No longer reliant on the things that once held me back, I know by tomorrow l&apos;Il be taking a new step forward. Discovering the mindset that you have to work harder than any player around and realizing that this work pays off. All this dedication has translated into my performance against other players on the court, my failures lead to accomplishments and new found talents I never knew I had. When I work hard I know I can make a better version of myself each day.

I chose to base this poem off the 2019 Toronto Raptors win because that was when I started to get big into watching basketball. I remember watching this moment and seeing the suspense of the crowd while the ball was bouncing in and out of the rim. I decided to make this moment event more suspenseful and leave the poem on a cliffhanger.

Hi my name is Erik Bergman I’m 14 I go to Seycove Secondary and I’m in grade 9. I am in a program called PLP and focuses a lot on project based learning. I am really big into basketball and I have been playing it for 4 years. I am also on the Seycove school basketball team. I like animals and I have two dogs one is named friday he’s 14 and the other is named brerie she’s 2. I am pretty interested with technology as well and I love learning new things. My favourite subjects in school are science and gym. Anyways that’s a bit about me

This project is a lot different than anything we have ever done, as we’ve had to stay on top of our own homework since there were no deadlines. I think I could of worked on my time management throughout this project. Other than that I think I got better at poetry over the course of this project

Don’t know what to write I think haikus are awful I will not write one

I chose to write my extended metaphor poem about what I do during the off season and in season. This poem shows the time portion of my worldview. In the off season I work to get better, improve on things that need to be worked on and learn new things. In the season I don’t practice as much as I have games, the work that you put in the off season shows in your stats and performance in game.

These poems relate to my values and the place around me. Haiku #1 relates and gives context to the climate around me, Vancouver is one of rainiest cities in North America so rain as become a huge part of my worldview and geography. Haiku #2 shows the thrill and feeling of a big game coming, it shows what’s happens before a game. Haiku #3 does not reflect on my worldview I thought it was funny though.

This poem is all about hard work when no one else is working and results that it gives. This poem is a story about of a game winner and the events and feelings that occur while it is happening. The story ends with a line saying all that hard work paid off to make that one shot, hours of grinding to change the season.
