Dear Parents, Development of the self along with academic achievements form the nuclei of all learning processes. The success of our students is a perfect reflection of the experiences and learning opportunities that I.L.S provides. It is with tremendous gratification that we present the achievements of our outgoing batch for the academic year 2021-2022 which articulates and demonstrates the dynamic nature of our school, our commitment to excellence and our relentless pursuit of achieving our best. The hard work and perseverance of the students, parents, teachers and principal together, creates this magic.

THE INDIAN LANGUAGE SCHOOL COMES UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF THE HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA IN NIGERIA.

Our Principal, Mrs. Sonali Gupta, welcomed the students in the school after the summer holidays expressing her wish for another triumphant academic year. The exemplary performance of the students who have passed out this year was lauded, and the relentless effort and dedication of the teachers, the coaches, and the non-teaching staff, in taking the school forward, was put on record by her during the morning assembly.

It is another proud moment for I.L.S as our school&nbsp;was selected to be the only centre in Africa for the conduction of the NEET (UG) entrance examinations. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), formerly the All-India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is the qualifying test for MBBS and BDS programs in Indian medical and dental colleges. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The story remains untold without acknowledging the invaluable contribution of the Indian High Commission in Nigeria, present Second Secretary, Mr. Ajay Sharma and our dear Principal, Mrs. Sonali Gupta towards making this a reality.

The school was closed for the summer vacation and against all odds, the NEET TEAM consisting of Mrs. Seema Khule , Mrs. Hema Mohan and Mrs. Sanyogita proved that nothing is impossible. There were a series of trainings and orientations which they had to attended. Lots of arrangements had to be made for the fair conduct of the exam. The team was supported by our able teachers, coaches and non-teaching staff. It is their untiring efforts that made it possible for students to appear for this prestigious examination here in Lagos. This year both Indian and Nigerian students had appeared for the examination. The examination was conducted under the supervision of the High Commission of India, Lagos, Nigeria.

“There is no greater education than one that is self-driven.” DHVANI RATHI of GRADE XI (Commerce) was awarded the following certificates on completion of two courses from Clever Harvey: 1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Junior MBA in Digital Marketing with a live project for Puma Shoes. 2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Junior MBA in Entrepreneurship with a live project for Multiply Ventures. Clever Harvey is an online Junior MBA program led by IIM and Ivy League Alumni for students of Grade 9 to 12 for imparting knowledge on key Management subjects. The program concludes with a live project with reputed MNC’s.

The Interactive Club of I.L.S, takes part in various Community Outreach events organized by Rotary clubs and other organizations. The idea is to&nbsp;&nbsp;inculcate the values of kindness, empathy, humility and generosity amongst the student community.&nbsp; The members of Interactive Club took part in the Health Camp event organized by the Rotary Club of Lagos, Palm Grove Estate and in the Blood Donation Camp organized by the Lagos Island Rotary Club. Blood donations for the blood bank, various health checks were conducted and our interactors helped with recording of vitals and distribution of medicines to the needy. Undernourished children were also given tonics and vitamin tablets to boost their immunity. The program witnessed enthusiastic response both from the volunteers and members of the community.

I.L.S students of the Grade X and XII 2021-22 batches made us extremely proud with their outstanding results. This year students broke previous years’ records and established new benchmarks for their juniors.
