“Great innovation only happens when people aren’t afraid to do things differently.” - Georg Cantor The New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has brought many changes in the Indian education system. One of the significant changes is the emphasis on promoting innovation and creativity among students. In accordance with the NEP 2020, we are happy to announce the establishment of the School Innovation Council Committee, an initiative of Ministry of Education, Innovation Cell.&nbsp; The primary objective of the committee is to build the innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem within the school.&nbsp; The committee consists of five teachers and five students under the able guidance of our Principal Mrs. Sonali Gupta. The SIC committee will work towards fostering a culture of ideation, innovation, entrepreneurship, creative thinking, design thinking, prototyping and out-of-box thinking, within school children. We believe that the School Innovation Council Committee will play a crucial role in shaping the future of education and preparing students for the 21st-century workforce. Keeping in line with this initiative all the teachers of I.L.S were certified as Innovation Ambassadors by the Ministry of Education on completion of the School Innovation Ambassador Training Program. This is another milestone achieved by I.L.S.

To encourage creativity and innovation skills of our juniors, varied number of competitions were organised under the "I Made It" exhibition. Students awed the judges with their mesmerising creations. This was the first time a mix and match collage activity as a collaborative activity for the mother and the student team was introduced. The various competitions conducted were: . Mast. Dhruv Rathi bagged the 1st&nbsp;prize at the Financial Literacy Olympiad organized by Education 10x, a division of Bright Champs, which is focused on financial literacy for kids and teens. He also won the bronze medal at the Crest Science Olympiad.

Dear Parents, Education is not only about imparting knowledge but about creating new potentials. Nature endows each child with unique capabilities and we at I.L.S nurture the mind, enrich the heart, work through the hands, creating thinkers and doers that the world seeks. Our leaners continue to receive balanced and relevant curriculum of our times and we pave forward with the belief that they have evolved as better human beings, impacting lives and society. It is time to draw curtains on a momentous year and herald in the new academic session with much enthusiasm and exhilaration. We reckon that many accomplishments need to be surpassed, expectations met with, but the unwavering faith and confidence of our stakeholders fills us with optimism. We look forward to your steadfast support in the future too as we brim forth with renewed confidence ingrained in our minds that we need to set higher goals and outdo it once again!

The subjects that the students choose in their high school, have an influence on their life and career ahead. To know the exact trajectory of one’s career path, one needs to take the correct first decision that would build into both future education as well as a future vocation. A Career Counselling Session was held for students of Grade X to provide guidance on how to prioritise the choice of subjects and the need to balance academic strengths with personal interests and aptitudes.  Students were addressed by our dear Principal Mrs. Gupta, Career Counselor, Student Counselor and the teachers of the respective subjects on how to select subjects that align with their interests and career goals. The session also focused on the subjects offered in grade XI, including the new skill subjects, where respective subject teachers explained the course curriculum and how it could help them in achieving their career goals.  The queries, apprehensions raised by the students were satisfactorily addressed and students felt empowered to make educated decision, while choosing the appropriate subjects matching their career aspirations.

To applaud the excellence demonstrated by the young impressionable minds and to acknowledge their efforts, the annual Academic Awards function was held on this day. The Guest-of-Honour was the High Commissioner of India to Nigeria, Benin Chad &amp; ECOWAS- His Excellency Shri. G. Balasubramanian, the Consul General Shri Chandramouli Kumar Kern, Members of the Board of Trustees, Members of P.T.A and distinguished guests. The guests were welcomed by the senior leaders, Head Boy and Head Girl. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp was followed by a short cultural program. It was a proud moment for the students to receive the Merit Certificates and prizes from His Excellency, in the presence of their parents. His Excellency appreciated the endeavours of the students in realization of their pursuit of excellence, and wished for positive outcomes, in the times to come. After the award ceremony, His Excellency Shri. G. Balasubramanian and the dignitaries went around the school and appreciated the efforts of the students in making the ‘I Made It’ Exhibition a grand success. He also inaugurated the Composite and Food &amp; Nutrition laboratory of the school which provides facilities and opportunities for students of classes VI to X in carrying out experiments in all science subjects so as to enable them to gain knowledge by experiential learning. It was indeed a joyous occasion for all the stakeholders of I.L.S to have His Excellency Shri Balasubramanian grace the function.

Narendra Modi I.L.S as a proactive approach held an online Skill Orientation session for the students of Grade VI and IX to enable them to make an informed choice of the various skill subjects on offer, as per CBSE directives. The emphasis of skill education is to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical skills of a given subject. The skill subjects like Financial Literacy, Design Thinking and Innovation, Marketing and Food production are designed to make the learners future ready, equipped with adequate knowledge and 21st-century skills. In the session, the course objectives, the assessment criteria, the importance of developing skills that are going to be in demand, and how students could benefit by acquiring such skills both academically and later in their professional lives was also shared. The students participated with enthusiasm and learnt about the various activities and exercises that can help them improve their skills. They appreciated the efforts put in by the school to increase their awareness.

We are excited to announce the completion of the newly renovated Junior Wing of I.L.S. The renovation was undertaken to improve the learning experience of our junior students and to provide them with better facilities. The renovated building has bright and airy classrooms that are conducive to learning. It also includes a dedicated play area for our younger students, which has been designed with safety and fun in mind. The play area features equipment which will encourage our students to engage in physical activity and develop their gross motor skills. We believe that the new facilities will provide our junior students with an engaging and stimulating learning environment, which will help them to achieve their full potential.
