I.L.S pays Tribute to the Queen of Melody. The entire I.L.S fraternity expressed their heartfelt condolences and offered their choicest prayers to the departed soul. Our students paid a musical tribute to her, by singing her iconic songs.

"Any society that does not innovate, stagnates.” The Students Voice Group Committee spearheaded the Innovation Day at I.L.S. Variety of events were organised to encourage students to view Innovation as a different way of looking at problems and solving them. The event looked at motivating students to use a higher level of thinking to solve complex problems. LKG to Grade IV children might be too young to innovate, but they are not too young to get inspired by the innovators. They dressed up like famous innovators and spoke about their achievements and how they inspire a budding innovator in them. Grade V ,VI, VII &amp; VIII had classroom board&nbsp;decoration competition, depicting innovation in various fields. The best boards&nbsp;were awarded prizes.

Nate Leipciger: “You cannot have hate in your heart without being hateful against yourself . . . when you are hateful, you become bitter, you resent everything and that becomes part of your nature.” The students of I.L.S had an opportunity to discover human experiences of the history they study. An interactive session was held with Mr.Nathan Leipciger and his granddaughter Ms. Jenn Green. Mr. Nathan survived the Sosnowiec Ghetto and the concentration camps like those of Auschwitz- Birkenau, Flossenberg, Gross Rosen, and a couple more of them. His life story left the audience spellbound and captivated. He left our students with the message that they should never turn a blind eye to something that is wrong around them. A Farewell was hosted to ceremonially bid adieu to the grade XII outgoing batch on February 19, 2022. The students of grade XI put up a spectacular show to say goodbye to their seniors. The students delivered heart-warming valedictory speeches reminiscing their days in school. “Down the Memory Lane,” a video was played to hark back to the beautiful moments of the years spent together with peers and teachers.&nbsp;They gracefully walked down the aisle and gave witty and candid answers to the questions posed to them. Our Principal, Mrs. Sonali Gupta felicitated the outgoing batch and motivated them to spread wings and soar high as they are ready to step out of the school.

International Interschool Technofest 2021-22

Five students from Indian Language School - Sougandhika Peri, Sai Pranavi, Mayank Motwani of grade XI and Gaurav Shah and Sumedha Mohan of grade XII participated in the competition. Gaurav and Mayank made it to Round 2 and Mayank moved forward to the Grand Finale. Mayank Motwani of Grade XI finally bagged the overall third position in the competition.

Grades IX and X were presented with real-life problem-solving questions. Students came up with creative ideas. Teachers also gave their inputs on how realistic their ideas were. Grades XI and XII had an Interhouse Innovative Meet. Each house was comprised of four members, and they had to think on their feet to come up with innovative solutions to problems. The questions ranged from space technology to futuristic world settlements. The Vice-Principals, Mrs. Manisha Jain, and Mrs. Ishita Yadav and Mrs. Rashmi Lakhanpal were our esteemed judges who presided over the event.

A Science paper presentation competition was organised for students of classes IX and XI. The teams from all the four houses took part with great enthusiasm and show cased their inquiring and research based minds and curiosity about science and the technological world by communicating scientific ideas, arguments and practical experiences accurately in a variety of ways. They were able to describe and discuss ways in which science is applied and used to solve local and global problems.

SAFAL (Structured Assessment For Analyzing Learning) is a Competency-based assessment for classes 3, 5 and 8, implemented through CBSE. It is an assessment tool aimed to revolutionize education. NEP 2020 recommends transforming the assessment system to promote the development of students and suggests a shift from testing rote memorization to competency-based learning. This assessment will focus on testing core concepts, application of knowledge and higher order thinking skills. The parents of students of classes I to VIII had a session with the Principal and teachers. They were appraised about the new assessment norm and all the queries put forward by the parents were addressed patiently and satisfactorily.

It was indeed overwhelming to see our GR XI &amp; XII students exhibit speed, stamina and strength in the mini sports day (senior category) hosted in the school campus on February 18, 2022. The teams of all the four houses exhibited the true spirit of sportsmanship, excellent coordination and team spirit while they competed for the coveted position. The Intramural team events played were Football – Boys, Volleyball – Mixed, Basketball – Mixed, Badminton – Girls Doubles and Boys Doubles, Table Tennis – Girls Doubles and Boys Doubles.&nbsp;

Our students added another folio in their book of victories, competing and winning against 150 schools across the globe. The International Interschool Technofest provides a global platform to Senior Secondary students for showcasing their creative and ground-breaking thinking. A variety of topics of contemporary relevance was provided to the young minds so that they can showcase their creative solutions to the expert panel in the form of power point presentations. The participants exhibit their methodological approach with practical thinking and acquaint them with tomorrow’s world.

To Commemorate 75 years of India's independence, the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Quiz is being conducted to motivate overseas Indian youth and foreign nationals to enhance their knowledge about India. Drishti Singh, Ankit Sharma and Priyanka Dash from I.L.S emerged as winners from Nigeria.

An informative session on Budget 2022-23 was presented by the students of grade XII Commerce - Shreyas Rajesh, Gaurav Shah, Sana Mariya Bino, Sahaj Falod and Clarisa Pradeep. They explicitly elucidated on the key points of the Union Budget and promptly answered the questions raised by the audience.

A little competition can inspire math students to greater achievement. It challenges students to use their math skills in new and creative ways. It also provides a challenging and engaging mathematical experience that is competitive and educational. For grades I - VIII students, Mathematics Challenge Competition was held in the school on 18th Feb 2022 in OFFLINE mode. A virtual parent teacher meeting for grades X and XII was held on February 22, 2022. The PTM put all apprehensions to rest, which was on account of the upcoming Preliminary Examination.
