International Dimensions in School Program

Students of grades VII, VIII, IX and X associated with Sanskriti School Pune in regard to International Dimensions in Schools Programme under the umbrella of the British Council. Students of grades VII and VIII shared information, ideas and presented activities on River Management via video conferencing. Students of grades IX and X collaborated on the Culinary Journey: From Farm to Dinner. They exchanged information on popular Indian recipes, food habits of common people, modern agricultural techniques, food availability and packaging and transport of food. It was a great platform for the students to develop their global awareness and also nurture their self-esteem, independent learning and responsible thinking.&nbsp;

Periodic Test II was conducted adhering to all the guidelines and amends introduced by CBSE in the exam format. The fervour of patriotism lives on …&nbsp; ILS celebrated the 75th Independence Day virtually with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.&nbsp;The celebration began with the students proudly singing the National Anthem, followed by a musical rendition and a graceful classical dance. The students brought in passion, valour and vigour of our freedom fighters with their flawless recitation and enactment. The presentation on India’s achievements in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 evoked pride and patriotic spirit in everyone. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Manisha Jain delivered the Independence Day message, exhorting the students to take pride in being Indian and motivating them to be keen and dutiful in fulfilling one’s responsibilities. Our second Vice Principal, Mrs. Ishita Yadav addressed the audience appealing to their nationalistic zeal and urging students to contribute their best for the progress of the nation.&nbsp; With the aim of channelizing the creativity of the students the Magazine Cover Competition was also held the same day. The topics for the competition were, ‘India@75, ILS Mascot, ILS@40’.&nbsp;

Independence Day at Indian High Commission

The Indian High Commission in Lagos was decorated in hues of the tricolour on Sunday to commemorate the 75th Indian Independence Day. The officer-in-charge of the High Commission unfurled the National flag.&nbsp;As every year, our students sang the national anthem and also patriotic songs, adding on to the vigour of the day.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Azaadi Ka Mahotsav was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the I.L.S fraternity, comprising of students, teachers and parents, by rendering the national anthem of India. A compilation of the uploaded video was telecasted on the 15th of August.&nbsp;A total of 608 participants from I.L.S took part in the event and generated the e-certificate.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship challenge

&nbsp;‘Ignite’ was a great opportunity to let the students discover the joy of creativity and problem-solving. The competition promoted the need of innovators who can think out of the box, provide sustainable and scalable solutions to age-old problems. This competition was conceptualized for school children to encourage the next generation of job creators. ILS took home the 6th position from 64 worldwide schools after substantial efforts from the students and teachers along with the encouragement and support of other teachers and peers. It gave invaluable knowledge and learning to the students and helped them hone their skills.
