Dear Parents

The month of May brings with it a plethora of occasions and is definitely a month to celebrate.

In the summer, the days are long, stretching into each other. Out of school, everything is on pause and yet happening at the same time. In this collection of weeks anything what the heart desires is possible.

As we move towards the summer break, we encourage our students to continue to pursue their interests and hobbies outside of school. The summer provides a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore new interests, learn new skills, build friendships outside of the classroom and spend value time with family.

We also want to remind our graduating seniors that this is a momentous time in their lives, and we wish them all the best as they embark on the next chapter of their academic and personal journeys. We are confident that they will continue to achieve great things and make a positive impact in their communities.

Badge Giving Ceremony for Student Council

“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”

The process of nurturing leadership should start from the initial years in the lives of students as they are the torch bearers of tomorrow. Therefore, moulding them, and constructing within them a sense of self-respect, self-discipline and tolerance towards others is extremely pertinent. Every year with this firm faith and commitment Indian Language School, elects their Student Council with Office Bearers.

The Investiture Ceremony was a wonderful event that recognized the importance of student leadership within our school community. The newly elected members of the student council for the academic year 2023-2024 were beaming with pride as they walked up to the stage to receive their badges. The audience erupted into applause to congratulate them. Our Respected Principal, pinned the badges to instill a sense of duty and pride in them.

We are proud of our newly appointed Student Council members and look forward to seeing their positive impact as they embark their new journey with responsibility and self-esteem.

Gratitude Day

We believe that gratitude is an essential element in creating a positive school culture, and we encourage our students to practice gratitude in their daily lives.

The ‘Junior Wing’ was filled with great enthusiasm. The students of Grade III and IV gathered in the school assembly shed and gave words to their emotions. The ‘Gratitude Bag’ was full of notes reflecting a sense of obligation for all who play a role in making life effectual.

The celebration of Gratitude Day was an important reminder to appreciate the people and blessings in our lives.

Session with Arsh Ali - India’s youngest archaeologist

Indian Language School

A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots’.

The Social Science Department with the objective to enable the young minds to understand the importance of history organized a virtual session with ‘Arsh Ali’, India’s youngest archaeologist, in the MPH for the students of Grades VI – VIII.

A student of over 15 languages, both ancient and modern, including Shastri in Sanskrit and the Vedas, Persian, Arabic, etc. Arsh is the only Indian certified to be knowing Ancient Egyptian language and script i.e., Hieroglyphics. He has also been actively engaged as an educator in various schools and universities of India and is associated for the last two years with City Montessori School (CMS) Lucknow as a career and holistic counsellor.

He is also a student of Law and is also engaged in generating awareness about laws and developmental government policies to the younger generation and students across various educational institutions.

The Zoom Session was an eye opener for our budding students of history as Arsh explained the importance of history in understanding one’s identity. He also spoke about some unknown facts from our ancient texts the Ramayana and Mahabharata. He enlightened the audience with the archaeological excavation projects undertaken by him.

Overall it was an interesting session, the first of its kind to be held for our students.
