Exploring The World Of Drawing

In this activity we focused on using lines to make patterns and making bubble letters. First we explored the tool bar on sketches pro and used the different brush styles and sizes. Once we finished pl;aging around with the brushes we explored how applying pressure can change the thickness of the brush. We then used the skills to explore how the different lines can convey emotions. Lastly we explored bubble letters and angled letters. For our representation of the skills we learned above we had to draw a word and use patterns and the different styles of lettering for it.

The goal of this session was to use shapes and doodles to connect and express ideas. To start we drew 2d shapes and then learnt how to add shapes in sketches pro from the tool bar. We learnt how to create concrete objects and thought about how to use abstract ideas to help express our art. We explored how colour changes art and how it works together. In the end our task was to play around with the shapes and colour to create an emoji.

Skill 4 was focused on using shapes and colour to express yourself. First we built the skills of using different shapes to covey a message (e.g heart, love) and using colour to show emotion (e.g yellow, happy).  We also learn’t how to add style through handwriting and embellishments. To show all these skills we made a brand and the drawing is a drawing of your logo. Before we made the logo we had to make a design brief which we had to answer the colours, shapes, and brand we would use for our logo. Lastly we made our logos. My brand is a treat brand for horses and dogs and i wanted to use navy and gold however there isn’t a gold colour on scketches pro. 

Skill 3 is focused on making a drawing more realistic by adding shading and colour. For this we first drew 3D shapes and the we drew a light source and shaded the other side of shape. We also learned how to look at an object and break it down into different shapes to make it easier to draw. For example a face is like a circle with a rectangle. Lastly we looked at cross hatching, hatching, and shading. To show what we learned we made robots which we broke down into shapes and then shaded them using any strategy we liked. For mine I made him from rectangles, squares, and triangles.
