Do dreams connect to real life, and why do we have dreams?
By Ella S.
Dreams while awake
Being awake and having a dream is called lucid dreams. Lucid dreams seem free from irrationality and narrative disjointedness of not lucid state. When you “wake up” from a lucid dream you can usually remember what you dreamed about, some lucid dreams can be based off of what’s going on in the room or place you are in. Some dreams have nothing to do with what’s going on in your life or in front of you.
What makes a dream and where do dreams come from?
Some cultures belive dreams come from gods and whatever you dream about has a special meaning in behind it. Some dreams represent unconscious desires and wishes, which means that whatever you dream about is what you secretly want in life it might be so secret that even you don’t know you want. Dreams are sometimes made by consolidating and processing information gathered during the day, so that means sometimes the people you see in your dreams could be people you saw during the day.
What is a dream
There’s so many different ways to describe what a dream is to other people but some of the most common ones are that a dream is a story/movie that reply in your head when you sleep but you are the main character. Dreams are hallucinatory experience that occurs when you sleep, another way to describe a dream is known as each dream is a letter to ones self, it could mean to do something or not do something.
