This multi-touch book is a compilation of the inquiry research that Grade 8 students at Westsyde Secondary School in Kamloops, B.C. did. Students in Grade 8 are “learning to learn.” They have been learning high school research skills and how to present their learning in an electronic book form.

Died: April 30 1945

Death: Suicide by gunshot

Who? Adolf Hitler was a German politician, demagogue, Pan-Germ revolutionary, and the leader of the Nazi party. He rose to power as chancellor in 1913 and then became the Fuher in 1934. He ordered the Germans to round up the Jews to kill them because he blamed them for losing in world war 1 and they didn’t follow his idea of perfect people.

Josef Stalin
Born: December 18, 1878 Gori, Georgia

Died: March 5, 1953 Moscow, Russia

Death: Cerebral hemorrhage

Who? Losif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvill was the dictator leader of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or the USSR from 1929 to 1953. He held the titles of General Secretary of the communist party of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1952 and the premier from 1941 to 1953

Benito Mussolini
Born: July 29, 1883

Died: April 28, 1945

Death: execution by firing squad

Who? He was an Italian politician who was also the leader of the national fascist party. He ruled Italy from 1922 to 1943, he ruled constitutionaly until 1925 when he established a dictatorship. He was executed by Italian partisans in the village of Giulino di Mezzigra.
