Its biodiversity has been safeguarded for centuries by the Indigenous communities that have called the forests home just like the animals that live there. When you walk through the forest you may hear birds chirping, fish splashing in the water or the waterfall crashing down. You might also hear animals walking on leaves or tree branches, and insect crawling. But that might not happen anymore the trees and forest are in danger there are wild fires getting more and more extreme as the day goes by. Our trees need Help and we can help them or try to find ways to protect them and the beautiful creatures inside the forest.

If you flew over Borneo in the 1950's, you would see it had been untouched. it still had roads and villages but they didn't disturb the rainforest. Now because many people are disturbing rainforest, it is causing the land to overheat and start fires. Borneo is also having problems with mining because it has rich metal and minerals, including tin, copper, gold, silver, coal, diamonds, and different types of sand and stone. We all know those are pretty good things, but they are mining so much it is harming the environment!

Wildlife hunting is slowly being taken care of. It is one of their biggest problems, the Goverment is taking control and stopping it in some places and making illegal to hunt but not in all places, some places are doing trading if you read online you can find more details about people buying exotic animals that were traded and they are keeping them as there own pet. they're also having climate change We might not have much control with climate change, but we still do have some control we can help clean up the planet or just stuff as simple as your yard it's the small things that count.
