At the beginning of the school year class for 4D went to an English Camp. Together with 4C they enjoyed lessons with native speakers and were able to spend leisure time with classmates and friends.

PROTOCOL Experiment: Mining of rock salt, Date:13th October 2021 What do we have to do ? We have to produce salt out of a rock of salt from the Salzwelten in Salzburg. Material: a piece of rock salt a beaker a funnel a mortar water a spoon a tripod a gas burner a filter

Supposition (hypothesis): We think that the brine will evaporate and the salt will stay on the ground of the beaker. Description of the attempt: First we used the mortar to get smaller pieces of the rock of salt. Then we added 50ml of water. Next we put all through a funnel in the beaker to remove the little stones. After you have to wait until the salt is dissolved. Now heat the beaker, which is filled of sole with a gas burner. While it is cooking the salt will evaporate. Finally you will see the salt, which stayed on the ground of the beaker. Observation: We noticed, that our hypothesis was right.

Tuesday Morning

After a delicious breakfast we had our first lesson with Colm. His English pronunciation was very comfortable to listen to, we also played a funny game, it‘s called 'Why are you late for school'. Someone goes out of the classroom and waits till Colm says he is allowed to come in, then we had to think about a funny way why the person is late for school and when the person is allowed to enter the room we had to explain him by hand signs why he is late and when the person finds out why he is late we win this game. This was a very funny game and we all had a lot of fun. After the game we worked on our project with Colm. We had to design islands. After the lesson we had our break (20 minutes )

After the break we went in the classroom of Han, she was already waiting for us. We sat down in a circle and she asked us how we felt, but everyone was really unmotivated and everyone answered same, the highlight of this lesson was that we made 3 groups and every group had to write the lyrics of a song. This was Han's project. (It was my first time that I‘ve written a song.)

Thursday Afternoon

For lunch we had goulash soup. It was very tasty. Than we had enough energy for the afternoon.

We ended the Treasure Hunt because of the rain and then we went back to the Ennshof. One group started to finish their presentations with Han. Another group played football with Colm in the sporthall. And the last group palyed games in the dining room.

We made a Treasure Hunt in the city. Sadly it was raining. We made nine teams and in each on were 7 people.

In our team were Christian, Dominic, Nicky, Alex from the D, Alex from the C, Valentin, Amin, Gabriel and Julian. When we were in a church, Alex from the C screamed during a funeral.

One of the tasks was to find out how expensive an ice cream is but the ice cream shop was closed, so we weren't able to finish the task.

Thursday evening THE DISCO After the Treasure Hunt, we had a little bit of free time. Then we ate Gyros, it is greek and so delicious. After that we thought we could go to our room and get some sleep but then we noticed that there was a disco, so we went to the disco and had a lot of fun, sang a lot and danced. But the most important thing is that we were happy and that we forgot all our problems. After that we all went to bed&nbsp;and slept at 12pm.

afternoon-dinner: We were playing on the field in front of the hotel. There some of us played football and some of us played volleyball. Then Professor Drexel came and told us to go inside to eat dinner

Dinner: For Dinner we had chicken with french fries

Pubquiz: Nativspeakers made Pubquiz for us. First we picked our groups and we picked a group name. Then we started. There were different categories: Music, Multiplechoicequestions and Questions about the Nativespeakers

Wednesday Morning

We had lessons from 8.45 to 11.45 am. We also had a 20 minutes break.

On Wednesday morning we went to different classes, because Laila was in group one and Teresa in group three

~FIRST CLASS~

In group one - after a 20 minute break - we went to Colm and started to design our own country. Our country wasn't really a country, but an island called Vajula. In group three after our first class we went to Susanne and did the same thing as group one, earlier in the morning.

In group one we first went to Susanne and took pictures of ourselves for the "people from Innsbruck" project. We also started to think about some good questions for our quotes. In group three we first went to Han, where we played a game called flyswopper. The game was really fun, after that we got together in groups to write a song about something we want to fight for, we choose feminism. It was a bit hard but I liked that we did something different.

Thursday Morning

We had lessons from 8.45 to 11.45am We also had a 20 minutes break

Me and my friends were first at Han, where we had to write lyrics to the song "Cheap Thrills" https://www.youtube.com&nbsp;› watch from Sia We wrote about feminism and sexism.

In the second half we finished the project "people of Innsbruck", where we took photos and had to write a quote about us : For example something emotional or funny. We also could write something about the week.

After then we had some free time and then lunch.

Monday morning and afternoon In the morning we met and drove to Altenmarkt in Salzburg by coach . The journey lasted around three hours. When we arrived we first went to our rooms and put our luggage there. At twelve o’clock lunch was ready ,by the way, the food was really delicious. In the afternoon we had our first two English lessons. One lesson was with Suzanne and the other one with Colm. Both introduced what they wanted to do and what we were going to learn during the week. We also played some games to get to know each other. The lessons lasted for three hours.

After the classes we had some freetime to do something with our friends. Some of us played games in their rooms, went outside to the playgrounds or just had fun in the hotel. My friends and I played football outside. It was really nice, because the weather was great and I loved to spend time with my friends.

After Lunch we made a hiking trip to the "Moosalm". It took us about an hour.

After dinner we had free time until half past nine. So everyone played games like Werewolf and after that we played volleyball and soccer outside. It was a very cool day.

After that we had lots of free time to play football, volleyball or go swimming in the inside pool of the hotel

For dinner we had Schnitzel with potatoes and for dessert we had choclate cake because of Alma's birthday. It was very delicious

Friday Morning

On Friday morning, we got up and had breakfast. The breakfast was really delicious, like every day. They also had coffee and hot chocolate. After that we cleaned up our room and packed our luggage. We had to bring the luggage near the stairs, to put them all later in the bus. Next we had the last lessons of the week. We had a little break about 10 minutes, and then we had the award ceremony. The Songwriter price, the quiz-prices, the treasure hunt prices and we got the certificates of the week.

After the tasty lunch (with starsoup and Buchteln) we took our luggage, and took it to the bus. Then we take a seat and wave first Colm. we named him often Gollum :D. Not on purpose. Then we waved Suze and Han, and we drove to Innsbruck. Meanwhile a lot of people heard music, talked or made nonsense. Unfortunately we arrived in Innsbruck and saw our parents. It was time to say "Au revoir!" to the week. We were a little bit sad, because the english week was very funny.

SALTWORKS On Wednesday evening we went to the saltworks by a bus. As we arrived, we had to put on white clothes and from there on our journey began. We rode the minecart inside into the mountain. A guide walked us through the entire time.He showed us short clips about the mine and we even went on a exciting boat trip.In the saltworks there were also two slides, this was so much fun. To visit the saltworks was definitely the best thing in the whole week. After this interesting trip the two classes had to do a crossword puzzle and if all answers are correct the class check gets 300€

MOVIE NIGHT In the evening the teachers decided to watch a movie called SCHOOL OF ROCK. It was very loud but we also had a lot of fun. All in all, the movie was a good choice but as you can imagine letting 47 people alone in a room watching the movie was not a good idea. A lot of people laughed loudly or played games so no one wanted to pay attention anymore.

&gt;&gt;&gt; Journey &amp; Location to &amp; from Altenmarkt &lt;&lt;&lt; Journey to Altenmarkt: On Monday morning we met at 7:45 in Innsbruck at the „Ohrwaschl“ near the Terminal Markt latz . We were all very excited and put our suitcases into the trunk. Then we drove off. The journey took us three hours. First, we drove on the motorway and when we were in Kiefersfelden we crossed the German boarder. Then, we drove past the Chiemsee and after that we drove over the Austrian boarder again. Now we only had to drive for about 50 minutes and then we would be in Altenmarkt.

Location: Our hotel was called “Jugendhotel Ennshof” and it was very nice. There were two sport fields, one sport hall and also a swimming pool. The rooms and the food were also good. Journey back to Innsbruck: On Friday afternoon we drove back to Innsbruck. We were lucky, because there was no traffic jam and it took us only two and a half hours. We think we were all very happy to come home again but it was a very cool Englishweek. Saskia &amp; Sofie
