Year 1 and 2 Social Story

We cannot wait to see you when we are back to school on the 3rd of September!
Your teachers will be Miss Foster and Maxine.

Miss Foster

You will come into the classroom through the year 1 and 2 outside door - you might have to queue outside while the person in front of you washes their hands. We will ask you to wash your hands when you come in at the sink and we will use this sink to wash our hands regularly throughout the day.

Everyone will have a peg in the classroom to hang their coats and PE bags.

This is what the classroom will look like - don't worry, you will have a chair to sit on!

This is our new reading rocket! Each week you will get to take home a library book to read at home with your parents as well as your reading book. If you read your reading book at home at least 3 times, you will get to move your astronaut up a planet!

This is our class worry box. If you have any worries, you can write them on a piece of paper and put them in the worry box and Miss Foster or Maxine will read them and help you with your worries.

Other bits of information:
We will eat our lunch in the hall.
At break time and lunch times we will have an area of the playground that will be our zone to play in and we will have a bucket of playground toys to play with.
We will use the boys and girls toilets as normal, but we will only be allowed to go one at a time.
