Doom Eternal

How do you find the game and what would you rate the game out of ten? In my opinion I absolutely loved the game and I would give it a 9/10. Everything it focuses on is the combat, the gameplay and levels are fantastic. I wish the story was explained in a better way to understand but the story isn't that important to enjoy it, so over all I enjoyed it. What's your opinion on the single-player? The thing I love about the single-player is first of all the combat is amazing but the great thing about the single-player is that this time around the main character Doomguy goes to earth and every level has its own theme and feel to it. One level is icy, one is fire and one is in a heaven like dimension. How does the combat work? So the combat in Doom Eternal is really amazing because it's designed to have you always in close range combat and to not be cowering in fear in the corner. So this is achieved by Doomguy having 7 weapons to chose from and each of them serves a different purpose.

Each demon has a specific weak point and what this means is that you will be swapping between the 7 weapons to defeat them. This makes you feel like your a pro at the game. You may be thinking what do I do if I get damaged or run out of ammo. If you damage a demon enough it will stagger and that means you can perform a glory kill in which Doomguy will in a violent manner game end them. Than you will get some health back but if you want to get ammo you'll have to use the chainsaw on them. When you master the combat you feel very powerful and it's very enjoyable. Should people who haven't played Doom Eternal get the game? Doom Eternal isn't everyone's cup of tea but if your ok paying full price for a 20 hour adventure that's highly repayable and is just fantastic than you should definitely get it.

For the whipped ganache&nbsp; 1. In a pan over medium heat, warm the cream until the edges just start to simmer. 2. Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl and pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let the cream sit in the bowl without stirring for 10 minutes. 3. After 10 minutes, whisk to slowly stir the cream and chocolate together. At this point, the ganache will be very thin. It will thicken as it cools so place it in the fridge, making sure to stir it every 15 minutes.

4. Once the ganache has cooled and reached the consistency of thick custard, it is ready to whisk.&nbsp; 5. Add the softened butter to the cooled ganache and whisk by hand for about 1-2 minutes, until light and fluffy. Take care not to over whip the ganache or it will taste grainy and will separate.&nbsp; Once the cakes are cool and the ganache is whipped, you are ready to frost.

Christmas Chocolate Cake

Christmas is coming, but what is Christmas without sweet treats? This chocolate cake recipe is perfect for the holidays and can be decorated with festive decorations.

Ingredients;

2oz/57g cocoa powder 2oz/57g chocolate 70% cocoa solids 8floz/225ml very hot coffee 4floz/115ml vegetable oil 4oz/115g yogurt 4oz/115g butter, softened 10oz/284g plain flour 12oz/340g sugar 2 tsp vanilla essence 1 tsp baking powder ½ tsp salt 3 large eggs

For the sponge 1. In a bowl, combine cocoa powder, chopped chocolate, and hot coffee. Stir and let the chocolate melt. 2. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. 3. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, oil, yogurt, vanilla, and eggs together for a couple of minutes. Add the chocolate mixture and blend until well combined. 4. Finally, whisk in the dry ingredients. Stop just as soon as the batter is combined. Be sure to take care not to overmix or it can toughen the cake. 5. Divide batter evenly into the cake pans and bake for 25-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow cooling completely in the pan.&nbsp;

Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is the next Zelda game in the series. This game is a prequel to Zelda Breath of the Wild. It takes us back to 100 years ago before Gannon took over Hyrule. The characters you can play as of right now that we know of are Link, Zelda, Daruk, Mipha, Revali, Urbosa and Impa. The game is a hack and slash type of game like the original Hyrule Warriors. The game will also feature compatibility with amiibo figures and the four champions amiibo will be re-releasing alongside the game.

The transit of Mercury will occur in 2032 November 13th

Its been established that human settlement on Mars will occur in 2023 and every two years a new crew will join the settlement.

The transit of Mercury takes place when Mercury passes directly between the Sun and a superior planet, then becoming visible against the Sun's solar disk as a tiny black dot.

Earth has been destroyed and around 60% of the population has been killed. Doom Slayer goes back to earth from Mars and rip and tear his way to kill the Hell Priests and stop earth's destruction. The story is optional but if you want to have a look at doom lore be ready for it. There is also a DLC coming, giving the game more levels and story.

Doom Eternal looks really good. There is a multiplayer mode where you play as either doom guy or on a team of three demons.

Venus will be in a close conjunction with Uranus in march 17th 2031,this a similar to the transit of Mercury but this conjunction could bring you some sudden unexpected changes that will effect you emotionally.

A total solar eclipse will take place in 2030 June 15th, unfortunately the solar eclipse can only be observed in South Africa and Australia.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the newest game in the series. Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a great way of escaping the real world and relax on your island. The game has added new stuff like DIY recipes that can let you build items and instead of having all of the events in the game they'll be adding them through updates to keep you active. There are now over 393 villagers in the game from the 333 in New Leaf. The game has sold over 26.4 million copies so far and is now the second best selling Nintendo Switch game right after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Super Mario 3D all stars is a throwback to the three classic Mario games of their time. We have Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy in this collection. Many people say it's not worth paying for this collection and it's a downgrade of the original games. Super Mario 64 This game is the Japanese version called shindou and it got rid of "So Long, King Bowser", the back backwards long jump, and improved on other parts of the game. Many many people were saddened when heard that they got rid of the line "So Long, King Bowser". The game is not widescreen unfortunately but runs well. Super Mario Sunshine Nintendo really made the game better. They made the resolution better and it's in HD now. Nintendo also did a update letting us play with our gamecube controller and they fixed some other bugs. This update really made this game better and I really like it. Super Mario Galaxy The game looks amazing definitely better than the Wii's graphic. You can play with your joycons and now with a pro controller. Galaxy is definitely the best from the three but all of the games look really good and all can bring good memories when you first played it on their original consoles.

A gadget salesman is looking for a special gift for his son and finds one at a store in Chinatown. In Poland, Christmas Eve dinner is the one of most important celebrations of the year. Although this meal is reserved&nbsp;for the closest family, it's customary to set an extra plate and seat for an unexpected guest. Most of the dishes served are cooked specifically for this special day – and only once a year!&nbsp;

The Grinch played by Jim Carrey lives in solitude because he hates the whoville townspeople. Along with hating whoville he also hates Christmas and sets out to destroy it. After having a change of heart the Grinch tries to undo what he has done and save Christmas.

A Christmas Carol is a classic story written by Charles Dickens. The story is set on Christmas 1843 in London. The story focuses on a grumpy old man named Ebenezer Scrooge who is obsessed with money. One night he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future who try to change the old mans ways.

Message from the Principal Welcome to the Christmas 2020 edition of Sketch! I would especially like to welcome once more our 1st year students and all the other new students and staff to CCS since we re-opened in late August. I trust that your time here will be a happy and rewarding one. This has been a year like no other – we have had to adapt to a totally new way of life in school due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is extremely important to recognise and thank everyone in the school community for all of the hard work, flexibility and commitment that has been so evident in ensuring that we remain open. To all of our staff and students- THANK YOU!!

While many of our normal events have been postponed or curtailed this year we look forward to a time where we can re-instate many of the extra-curricular activities that are so important to the life of the school.&nbsp; Finally, a special word of thanks to the editors, feature writers, reporters and staff members involved with The Sketch – as usual you have managed to capture many wonderful things about the school! STEP 3 Fold in the flour, adding a little milk until the mixture is of a dropping consistency. Split mixture into two bowls adding red food colouring to one and green to the other. Spoon the mixture into the paper cases until they are three quarters full half full of each colour. STEP 4 Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden-brown on top and a skewer inserted into one of the cakes comes out clean. Set aside to cool for 5-10 minutes. Then place on a wire rack.

STEP 6 Add the remaining icing sugar with 1 tbsp milk, adding more milk if necessary, until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add food colouring (optional) and mix well. STEP 7 Spoon the buttercream into a piping bag and add a nozzle of your choice. Pipe in a swirl motion the place black liquorice around icing then add M&amp;Ms as lights and enjoy !!

STEP 5 For the buttercream icing, beat the butter until soft. Add half the icing sugar and beat until smooth.

4th Year Interviews - Marc Coakley Is transition year boring as eveything's cancelled? Yes. There are no trips so it is boring. Are you getting a lot of homework? No.&nbsp; Do you like your classes and new options? It's alright. Some are boring. What's your favourite new subject in 4th year you're doing? Public speaking.&nbsp;

Do you know what you want for Christmas yet , if so what? &nbsp;A bike and a basketball. Are you enjoying 4th year or do you regret not skipping? Should have skipped. It's boring. What do you do in your free time? Basketball, GAA , Motor cross , PS4 and Netflix. Do you have a role model,&nbsp;If so who? Casey Kavanagh and Kobe Bryant because he's my basketball role model. Who's your favourite teacher? Mr O'Mahony, he is the basketball coach for the school team.

The reason I chose Poland is because I'm Polish and I carry out Polish traditions at home These are the traditions I follow at home with my family Tłusty Czwartek:&nbsp;Poland has a “doughnut day” Or more correctly, Poland has a “Fat Thursday.” Adding to a long list of Polish national holidays, festivals, and traditions, this greedy Thursday known as&nbsp;Tłusty Czwartek. Once a year, this day gives Polish people the chance to overindulge on food, ahead of Lent. It creates a real buzz throughout the country, only for a day.

Easter&nbsp;in&nbsp;Poland&nbsp; I find Polish Easter traditions very interesting as it’s fun to experience all the traditions that have existed for over a thousand years. According to the Western Roman Catholic calendar the first sign of approaching&nbsp;Easter&nbsp;in&nbsp;Poland&nbsp;is a large number of branches and dried flowers being brought to church. One week before&nbsp;Easter, Palm Sunday (in&nbsp;Polish&nbsp;niedziela palmowa) takes place. On Saturday people take to churches decorated baskets containing a sampling of traditional food to be blessed: hard-boiled shelled eggs,&nbsp;ham, sausage, salt, horseradish, fruits, bread and&nbsp;cake. Prominently displayed among these is the Easter lamb, usually moulded from butter or sugar and colorful pisanki

Everyone knows movies are a big part of Christmas. This year the sketch magazine has researched and voted for the best movies to help you get in the Christmas Spirit. Our most voted movies were: 1: Home Alone 2: Elf 3: The Polar Express 4: The Grinch 5: A Christmas Carol

Home Alone is about an eight year old who is accidentally left behind when his family goes on a holiday to France for Christmas. Kevin the main protagonist played by Macaulay Culkin is excited to finally be in charge of the house until he discovers that robbers are planning to break in. Being the imaginative child he is Kevin quickly comes up with a plan to take down the robbers by making traps all around the house. This movie is great to watch with all the family. The comedy is suitable for kids but it can still be enjoyed by adults. This movie is a 10/10 in my books and is definitely a Christmas classic.

Fall guys is a battle royale game where you and 60 people try get the crown. It's like wipe out; some levels are about getting to the finish line or surviving for a certain amount of time. The game is really fun but I think it will just disappear into existence when other stuff comes out. A example would be Among Us.

Paper Mario The Origami King is the sixth paper mario game that has come out. Many people liked the game from the soundtrack, story, graphics and humour. But the combat was seen as unrewarding and this is really not good because Paper Mario sticker Star and Colour Splash were the same with combat being unrewarding. &nbsp; The combat in Origami King makes you stand in the middle of the battle and you have to put enemies near each other to do lots of damage to them in a short amount of time. People find this annoying because of how long it takes to get to the fighting. Characters make games great and Origami King has great characters... y'know the team who made paper mario were told from the higher ups to not have original characters just the same Mario characters with nothing new to them. &nbsp; Ok so combat and characters they didn't do well but at least the boss fights are cool... not really. It's the same with combat, they made it interesting but many people just found it frustrating going around a circle trying to get near the boss to kill them and if you fail once you have to do it all over again. Ok I think I can talk about the characters now so the main villain is called King Olly who is related to Olivia who helps Mario take down her brother. Bowser is also here but gets separated from Mario and comes back later into the game. Bobby the Bob-omb is your fellow bomb and Luigi is also here but does his own thing later into the game leaving your group.

Animal Crossing New Horizons - Interview with Keira Mc Mahon

How did you find the game and how would you rate the game out of ten? I would rate it 8/10, it's a really good game and it's a improvement in the animal crossing series. Any new mechanics added to the game? As someone who has played previous game New Leaf they definitely added a lot. One prominent thing would be crafting and a lot of customization on your island. There is also a change in roles and having more power to do stuff.

Is there anything in the game that is an annoyance to you? While this installment has many improvements, it is flawed. You take it at your own pace, you can't rush anything and that gets very tedious. You need a lot of patience on certain things like waiting on things to be built and crafting only one item rather than in a bulk. The tool durability is something I completely disagree with. I can understand it for the flimsy tools but the golden tools should be unbreakable. Than with villager dialogue you just see the same dialogue over and over again. There are more features coming to the game but it is quite annoying to wait the features that were already in a previous game.
