Philosophy of the Thematic Unit
The main goal of the school plan in this thematic unit is to encourage and reinforce students in the direction of utilizing their imagination, through creative thinking and activities. In this way, the aim is to maximize the school's contribution to their future development into creative, innovative adults in a number of areas. The experiential workshops included in this cycle are about learning and life skills, mind skills and combined digital technology, communication and collaboration skills.

Task of the particular project is to familiarize students with the language of cinematic narration and the special features of short films. It also seeks to cultivate students in learning, life, technology and science skills.
This is expected to be done through development of their
• • Creativity and imagination in the script• • Empathy and sensitivity in choosing the theme of the film• • Media literacy and critical image reading,• • Technological literacy in video and audio capture and editing• • Digital literacy in digital image editing.
The program is developed in 10 workshops on a weekly basis. Each workshop lasts 1 teaching hour and follows a specific structure with Introduction, Implementation and Reflection activities. In the 10th workshop, the evaluation of the Program is done through Creative activities, Evaluation Sheets but also from the material of the Student Portfolio of the students.

1. Watch a youtube video about the creation of an analog flipbook
2. Present some high spots of the history of animation and cinema through the material of " Afterimage"
3. Experiment with the material and discussing about the phenomenon of "Afterimage"
4.Present the digital flipbook creation app "flipanim"
5. Experiment with the app
