We asked our students to explain the mathematical objects they encountered while returning home from school while continuing their daily lives. There were quite creative results.

Music and Maths

Mathematics and art are related in a variety of ways. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics">Mathematics</a> has itself been described as an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art">art</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematical_beauty">motivated by beauty</a>. Mathematics can be discerned in arts such as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_and_mathematics">music</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance">dance</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Painting">painting</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics_and_architecture">architecture</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sculpture">sculpture</a>, and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematics_and_fiber_arts">textiles</a>.

We can clearly see the math in everything such as art. Some of the famous painters are use math in their art either. Van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci, Johannes Vermeer are some of these artists.

Experts have determined the "ideal proportion" relationships that have been found to exist between the various parts of the body over the years and correspond to the approximate golden ratio values: between the fingertip-elbow and the wrist-elbow; the distance from shoulder-to-head to head-to-head; the distance between shoulder-to-head and shoulder-to-head. When the distance between the belly-knee and the knee-foot is measured, the number 1.618 is obtained. The same ratio calculation on the human face, the width of the face with the height of the face; nose length between the junction of the lips and eyebrows; between the length of the face and the tip of the chin-eyebrows; nasal width by mouth size; between the width of the nose and the nostrils; It is also done between the pupils and the distance between the eyebrows.

The number&nbsp;π&nbsp;is a mathematical constant. Originally defined as the ratio&nbsp;of a circle's circumfrence to its diameter, it now has various equivalent definitions and appears in many formulas in all areas of mathematics and physics.

It is approximately equal to 3.14159. It has been represented by the Greek letter "<a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pi_(letter)">π</a>" since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes spelled out as "pi". It is also called&nbsp;Archimedes' constant.

They have put this information on a padlet collaboratively.

Students and teachers have introduced themselves to each other. They have given information about their ages, their hometown, their hobbies, and their fields of interest.

Nature presents us the beauty of mathematics in itself. Fractal geometry is also known as nature's geometry. The geometric fractal is a pattern or pattern that repeats itself infinitely. When we look at a tree, we are actually looking at a mathematical beauty. Mathematics is everywhere, we can gain new awareness by observing our environment, and nature knows very well what to do thanks to mathematics and creates the most harmonious forms.

Our study on the golden ratio in pine cones:

Doğadaki Altın Oran - Doğadaki Sanat  (Eskişehir Çamlıca Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi)

The spirals of the pine cone are 13 spirals from the right side and 8 spirals from the left side. Their proportion is equal to the golden ratio and is 1,618.
