Mathew The Small hero

Hi, My name is Mathew, I am an 11-year-old boy, and I'm very short, I am 4,5. I  have trouble with my height which affects a lot of things. For example, I can't reach anything for my life. I like sports, riding my bike with friends, and playing video games. One of my friends Gabe is a very innocent and funny in a stupid way type of kid. Now this is where it gets interesting, Gabe and I were walking to the park and there was this little shortcut through the woods we decided not to go to the park and go to the pond back in the woods when at the corner of my eye I saw a creepy wishing well, I said to Gabe, “look what is that”, and we went over to the well. Gabe was leaning on it and we were spooked. Out of nowhere, a rock fell and the well collapsed and Gabe fell down in the well. As soon as he fell my instincts told me to jump down so I did and landed on my arm I cried. I think I broke it. I got up and the well had a path that was so dark it looked fake. I screamed for Gabe's name but there was nothing. So I pulled out my phone flashlight and started to walk toward the path. After about 3 minutes of walking, I stopped and screamed Gabe's name again, but nothing replied. After 2 more minutes, I reached a cave. I saw a human-like figure, Gabe had an afro and it looked like an afro on his head so I ran over and said, Gabe, where did you go? I was looking for you. When I realized that wasn't Gabe I bolted it was a weird-looking creature/ monster. There was an opening in the cave so I ran out and ended up near a river near my house. I ran to my house, ran to my room, and went to bed.

After going to bed and waking up I had a plan. I was going to go back with food, water,  a weapon, and a friend. I walked to my friend's house and told him, you need to come out, it's an emergency so he ran out but I stopped him and said, wait you need a weapon so he ran back inside and grabbed a shovel his name was William but his nickname was Fish stick. So I told him that Gabe was missing and I saw a monster, I basically told him the whole story. he didn't believe me and started to walk back inside so I told him that I would show him proof, so we ran to the forest and strapped a rope to the top of the well, and jumped down.  I pulled out a heavy-duty flashlight and started to walk slowly toward the cave. After about five minutes we reached the cave and what we saw, we saw another path us being kids we went to that path and what we saw will haunt us forever we saw Gabe hanging from the ceiling with tape on his mouth and his afro cut off. There were bones all over the floor, when we heard footsteps coming toward us we hid behind a rock, and the monster took Gabe down and ran away to another path we chased after the monster with our weapons and trapped the monster. When we trapped him he threw Gabe when Fishstick knew what we had to do. We started to hit the monster with our weapons and we slayed the monster. We grabbed Gabe and ran away. When we got back to the main cave we went up the little hole that ends up near the river near my house. We untied Gabe and asked him what happened. He said, “ Yesterday when I fell down the well the monster was at the bottom of the well and so it grabbed me and ran away”. Fishstick said well we saved you and everyone is safe now because of Matthew “the small hero” . we all went home to play video games when Gabe's mom came downstairs and said “Oh my god Gabe, what happened” Gabe just said he fell. Gabes' mom told us to go home so we went to fishsticks house and played. The end
