Aaron Volpe is the worst baseball player on his team and everyone hates him finally, he hit the ball in play but ran to third base instead of first base after that, everyone booed him when he got home that night he cried all night long. The following day he had school and everyone bullied laughed at him he tried to ignore it. It did not work although he is a brilliant kid who couldn't do his work today because he was too busy thinking about what he did. All of his teachers got worried about him. All day he was thinking about it. All up until his dad yelled, “Aaron get ready for baseball!” He started getting ready and was early when he got there so his dad practiced with him. When he first got up he struck him out on three pitches. The other players already knew what would happen since they were facing the best pitcher in the league Gerrit Cortes his best pitch was his fastball which was recently clocked at 68 mph. Whenever the coaches tell him something he does not understand and accidentally does the opposite, including hitting the ball. The next day was a Saturday he had a double-header. In the first game, he got hit with the pitch and reached first base his teammates were shocked.
When he got back to the dugout the coach said ”Are you okay?” “Yes but it does sting a little bit,” He replied the coach said, “ Good do you want to play right field next inning?” Aaron was super excited and said “Yes!” He said very excitingly.
He could not wait to tell his dad as he ran up the ramp telling his dad very eagerly “Dad I am going in right field next inning.
His dad said “Really?”
He replied “Yes”
When he got back to the dugout the coach said ”Are you okay?” “Yes but it does sting a little bit,” He replied the coach said, “ Good do you want to play right field next inning?” Aaron was super excited and said “Yes!” He said very excitingly.

When he first got there when he was warming up he dropped every ball thrown at him. The coach is shaking his head because he knew it was a mistake. His dad was nervous hoping no ball was hit to him. The first hitter struck out. Although the first batter stuck out the second batter did not do the same as he hit the ball right at Aaron, his dad was nervous thinking it would get passed him, as it did. He rounded second base going to third, as he did not stop and went home and was safe.
They would end up losing by one run. Now it is the next day and the last game of the season 12\24 and Aaron did not even make contact with the ball as they would barely make the playoffs but t the playoffs but they will next play 12\27. The next day he got brand new batting gloves and then the next day went by as he was off from school finally the 27th of December came and in his first at-bat he wore his new batting gloves and swung and hit a home run. Everyone was shocked, it was his first ever hit he smiled so much his mouth hurt. Some of the people thought he got lucky.
Next at bat he wore the gloves again and hit an RBI double Everyone was surprised, including him. Although he did good he still lost the game. Although they did lose it is a 2 game elimination so the next day he was there on time and for the first time he was not batting last he was hitting 3rd and was pumped for this game and his coach put him in center field. He wore the batting gloves under his glove too as he caught the fly ball that was hit to him to end the bottom of the first inning. He went on to bat with a guy on first as he would hit a home run.
