A Journey for Freedom
Once upon a time in the year 3007, there was a town named Zeffo. They were very civilized people and trained fighters. The planet itself has lots of farmland and wildlife, there were floating islands and flying vehicles. After many years of Zeffo growing in its economy, due to its small population it was invaded many times. Because of this, they made an alliance with one of the strongest Empires in the Galaxy, called the Dark Empire. Then one day the Empire attacked, and took all of the town’s people hostage. There were few people left, but they went into hiding.
One of these people is Me, “Cal Connors”.I am now 19. I was never one of the popular kids at my school. My parents were the only light in my life. They were always there for me when I needed them, but both had been killed in the invasion while trying to save me. Now I was lonely and felt I had nothing to be a part of in the world. One day I was harvesting what was left of my crops after the invasion. Then I heard something, people talking, but as far as I know I was the only one left in this town. They had to be the Empire’s scouts. They were probably looking for anyone who was left. I had to run. I tripped and they spotted me.

I was frozen, They came closer and I broke into a sprint. I slid down a hill, but they were gaining on me, suddenly a huge sting shot into my arm. I was shot, I kept running, I jumped from island to island but suddenly I came to a dead end. I was going to be cornered, but then a big ship swooped down, and the door rolled down,
“Hop in”, A man said.
I had no other choice, so I jumped in and we nearly escaped.
“Who are you?” I asked, "Why are you helping me?”I said.
“I believe you should be saying thank you.”
“ Thank you,” I said.
“I’m Flint, and you are?”
“I’m Cal, Cal Connors.”
“Nice to meet you.”
“Hop in”, A man said.
I had no other choice, so I jumped in and we nearly escaped.
“Who are you?” I asked, "Why are you helping me?”I said.
“I believe you should be saying thank you.”
“ Thank you,” I said.
“I’m Flint, and you are?”
“I’m Cal, Cal Connors.”
“Nice to meet you.”
"I didn’t know there was anyone left,” I said.
" I escaped,” Flint said. “I’m looking for more survivors like us.” “Now we have to destroy the Dark Empire, and set everyone free.”
I felt very guilty, because these were never my intentions. I was expecting to get out of here and find another place to hide. I was scared and a mess, but this is what my parents would want.
We landed at a hut far from Zeffo, we rested there and I consumed my bowl of soup. Flint told me that we had to get to the Kingdom and convince the Emperor himself. I tried to clear my mind that night before I went to bed. The next morning, Flint started up the ship and we took off.
“We’re headed to the forest, because if we get any close to the capital, we will get blown to bits. That’s why we’ll go through the forest and sneak into the Kingdom.”
“I’m glad to have you hear Flint, I don’t know if I would have made it this far on my own.”
“You're welcome, " Flint said. “It’s nice to have some company.” “ If we are going to do this you're going to need to defend yourself”.
Flint then brought out about a foot long bladed knife that glowed like a laser on one side of it. I couldn’t thank him more.
We got to the forest and it was weird there were bugs and plants everywhere. I had my knife in my holster. I felt a little more confident in myself then. We got deeper into the forest and plants, and all sorts of creatures roamed the surface. Suddenly I got snatched by a plant, and I

It seemed to be a plant with sharp teeth and a whole mouth the size of a big car.
“You gotta keep your guard up,” said Flint. I definitely needed some training.
Before I got to examine it any closer, there were a bunch more in the aisle we were going through. Flint started shooting them with his blaster, but it was ineffective. We couldn’t take on all of them so we made a run for it. The plants were making the passage more narrow and just got out. We got to the end of the forest finally, and we saw the Capital. The only thing was that it was on a mountain.
We climbed about halfway up the steep mountain when we were getting shot at by troopers. Flint got shot in his leg and was injured. I took his blaster and started shooting,
“I can't go any farther.”
“You gotta keep your guard up,” said Flint. I definitely needed some training.

I knew I had to leave him there to rest, but I was scared to move on by myself. Suddenly I remembered how Flint wanted this for the safety of our people. I remembered my parents, and how they would want me to keep going and find my way to success.
“ Go, you must hurry!”
I kept climbing up the mountain and finally reached the top.
“Hey you there,” I turned and saw a trooper whack me right in the head.
I woke up in an arena, People everywhere booing me, I looked up and saw the Emperor, he got up, grinned. “ If it isn’t the survivor of Zeffo, I have been waiting for you.”
“Let the people go.”
“You think it will be that easy, I’ll tell you what, if you defeat my champion, I will let the people go.” “And if you don’t, you will never see them again.”
“Deal”
“ Go, you must hurry!”
I kept climbing up the mountain and finally reached the top.
“Hey you there,” I turned and saw a trooper whack me right in the head.
I woke up in an arena, People everywhere booing me, I looked up and saw the Emperor, he got up, grinned. “ If it isn’t the survivor of Zeffo, I have been waiting for you.”
“Let the people go.”
“You think it will be that easy, I’ll tell you what, if you defeat my champion, I will let the people go.” “And if you don’t, you will never see them again.”
