Sunset I have been on this trail for a long time now, Sometimes I forget how long.&#160; I wonder when the sun started to slide down the sky to hide beneath the&#160;curve of the earth. It is quiet. Crickets thrum,&#160; a lone blackbird sings against the falling of the sun. The sky startles me with a sudden burst of color. I stop. I feel I could just lay down. I could rest here. But I have not yet reached that place where the slim arc of light slices through the night and signals the end of a long day. Color spills onto the sky I look ahead and I wonder: Where will this path lead?
