Butterflies can come in many colors and patterns. They weight 0.0095 to 0.026 ounces. Their length is 1/8 in. to a huge almost 12 inches. My animals skin texture is fury.
Butterflies are found in every habitat from tropical forests to deserts to grasslands to tundra! They could live with any type of animals and insects, except with Arctic animals.
Butterflies eat sweet nectar from flowers. They get their food from flowers.
They live up to six to eight months.

A group of butterflies is sometimes called a "flutter".
Butterflies and insects have their skeletons on the outside of their bodies, called the exoskeleton. This protects the insect and keeps water inside their bodies so they don't dry out.
Butterflies had been around about 56 million years ago.
