This may be the perfect Book Creator project. Students working on these books were presented with printed copies at the end, much to their delight. You can read about their story on our blog.

&#8220;Ok.&#8221; I activated my Blaster 3000 on my watch and shot a laser beam. It melted through the stop sign and took off the letters so it said top. &#8220;Wow that&#8217;s cool! Ok let me help you,&#8221; the boy said. &#8220;Ok I need you to follow me like I&#8217;m Batman and you&#8217;re the Robin. &#8220;Ok wait what?!&#8221; the kid said, sounding unimpressed. I quickly responded &#8220;....just don&#8217;t say anything. We have a time limit here buddy, ok? Focus.&#8221;&#160;

Dec 27 2019 8:00am Surprise diary! It&#8217;s my birthday today! My mom and dad are shopping at the mall, but P.H.T.F.Y.C is still here. She said happy birthday of course but she also gave me a present. I said, &#8220;Thank you&#8221; and went back to my room. Then I opened the present. It was a book. The title said, &#8220;The Stars and the Moon.&#8221; I think I will read it until my mom and dad come home. As I opened the book, it started to glow and then I could only see white light.

I go to my room and say, &#8220;Set room to space ship projection.&#8221; I hear a robotic voice responding to me, &#8220;Room has been set to space ship setting.&#8221; I throw the book on the bed and lie next to it. I&#8217;m bored. I look at the book and think: a little time travel won't hurt anyone.

I was in my bed, eating a pie that P.A.I. (my possible robotic Pie maker Assistant Identical bot) made for me. These robots are super cool and have the ability to be identical to others. You can send to do the work for you and then you get to do something fun.&#160;Instead of just sitting on my bed of course&#8230;

I haven't completely explored my tower. My entire home is run by a series of robots that are my assistants.&#160;My whole tower is a robot actually. So I went down the marble stairs to the bottom of the platinum tower, to discover a mysterious library that looked like it had been there for years. It was a lot dustier than the normal libraries I had seen before.

It was another day of Ruth waking up Zach by scratching at his door she always tried so hard to get Zach up. Zach finally got up reluctantly saying &#8220;Ruth let's go for a walk!&#8221; Ruth ran to Zach jumping up as high as she could. Zach put on his coat and shoes but as he was about to go outside, he noticed that his white and black checkered pillow wasn&#8217;t there.

As he got back to his mansion, he grabbed a piece of paper and wrote all the places as it could be. He was scared to go exploring because he does not know the people or neighbourhood, but he knew it was worth a try. 

He scoured&#160;all around his neighborhood and the portal was not there. It was getting a little dark outside so he went back to his mansion. He stayed up all night brainstorming.

Isabella sat on her bed, staring out the window at the neighbors' houses. She looked over at her favorite toy, a stuffed bear Bary. 'I wish I had some friends Bary...do you think one day i will find one? Oh..I hear my mom calling me down for breakfast. We will talk after. After Isabella was done eating, it was time for her to go to school. Her robotic teacher said tomorrow she will give her a book. Everyone in the secret city has a robotic teacher because they are all rich.

Isabella said ''What kind of book?'' Her robotic teacher said, ''Just a book for you to read.'' After homeschooling she went to talk to Bary her Bear. She said ''Why did my robotic teacher want to give me a book? Is it magic? I wonder what could be in that book. What do you think?'' The next day while Isabella was getting ready for school somebody was ringing at her door downstairs.

One day Jeff sat down in his favorite gaming chair and flipped open his laptop in his room. He was excited to play Minecraft with his friend Max, his friend who he had known since kindergarten. Jeff really wanted friends and wanted to be at school and not at home in the Palace. Jeff used to get bullied in kindergarten so his parents, the King and Queen, decided to homeschool him. His parents wanted to make it up to him, so they got him the latest robot with Artificial Intelligence.

It could teach Jeff, talk to him and write words. He was not just a teacher to Jeff, he was his only friend besides Max of course. Tommy and Jeff loved to play robo-tennis together. It&#8217;s like tennis but you wear a robo glove that has a magnet so you don't have to chase the ball. It just comes back to your hand. So Tommy and Jeff walked to the tennis court and they both put their tennis racket up and they started to play. Jeff swung the bat fast and Tommy swung the ball back to Jeff. Jeff and Tommy played this game for hours.

Like always I wake up and have some fried chicken and walk my robotic&#160;dog. I don't go out that much mostly because people judge me by how rich I am. So I usually just walk the dog for about 10 minutes. When I get back home because of our security system, I have to use the facial recognition system.

I rolled off my bed and sat on the messy floor full of clothes.&#160;BEEP BEEP BEEP! went my alarm.. &#8220;That's it!&#8221; Johnathan says as he grabs his pillow and smashes his alarm clock. Whoosh!

Lia Travels Through Time

It was nothing like my planet. Our sky was green, but Earth&#8217;s sky was blue. They have only one moon, but we have two blue moons. Their houses didn&#8217;t look anything like ours. Their houses are made out of brick or wood. Weird because our houses are made out of iron and plasma glass.

The Mixtape showcases all the students' reflections on the story writing process and what they learned.&#160;It also includes our Special Guest - Author/Illustrator Debbie Ridpath Ohi who sent a personalized video message back to our students! We were just amazed!&#160;

''Hi Isabella! Here is the book I told you about. I would like for you to read it after homeschool. I think you will really enjoy it. From, Your Robotic Teacher

&#8220;You have 20 seconds until you fade away,&#8221; a robotic voice said.&#8220; Get on my back!&#8221; Bonker said. Then an awesome thing happened, Bonker started to fly! Unfortunately I fell off and Bonker went right into the black hole. &#8220;11! 10! 9&#8230;&#8221; the robotic voice said. I had my bow in my hand so I took off the string and tied it to the end of an arrow and threw the arrow at the black hole. It attached to the black hole. When I pulled the string the black hole fell on me as the voice said, &#8220;One!&#8221;

&#160;I finally finished breakfast, I raced over to the couch as fast as Sonic to open presents.&#160; I can only open one because I had to go to school. Dad gave me a book and a video game called, Fight Night. The cover had stars in the sky and two strong men that looked like fighters. I had to race off to school. No time to look at the book.

I think - well that&#8217;s weird. Shouldn't the book not disintegrate since it&#8217;s another time. I go with T.I.B.S. to a yellow Off-Roader and I say, &#8220;Where are the Hover cars?&#8221; T.I.B.S. responds, &#8220;They aren&#8217;t invented yet.&#8221; &#8220;That&#8217;s bad,&#8221; I say. I go in the car, and when T.I.B.S. presses the gas pedal I can feel the mud splashing on me from the powerful wheels of the car the fresh pine tree smell.

The next day he was so tired and just wanted to sleep, but he knew that he couldn't. Zach rushed down the stairs, grabbed his coat, put on his running shoes and brought Ruth with him this time. As he went outside, it felt cool. Even though it was summer, his teeth were shivering. Zach thought I have to keep going. He ran to the park.

I did that, but the ancient door was stuck. I saw that the door was slightly open so I put my hand on the old rusty handle and pushed it as hard as I could. &#8220;Ughhh&#8221; I grunted. As I the door was half way open, I heard my buddy Tom yelling, &#8220;AHHH!'' and I let go of the door and I turned around. &#8220;A-a-a&#8230;. spider!&#8221; Tom screamed. I stood there angrily. &#8220;You made me let go of the door for a spider?!&#8221; &#8220;Um I think so&#8221; he said as he looked down at the ground. I didn't respond. I opened the door looking back at Tom's eyes, giving him the angry look.

I fell off and landed on my pet dragon&#8217;s bed. I forgot which room is my history room so I tried opening all of the 175 doors. &#8220;Hey watch, where is the history room?&#8221; I asked. A robotic sounding voice answered, &#8220;The history room is on the second floor. Room 1.&#8221; I thought that was my parents room. As I walked down the halls with soft steps in shame of myself, I saw a dark old room.

I was in London now. Smoke came from a train station nearby.&#160; Jim said, &#8220;Wow, am I dreaming?&#8221; He pinched himself. &#8220;Ow! So is this all real or am I wearing virtual reality goggles in my sleep? Am I in the past? Am I not really myself? What do I have to do?&#8221;&#160; &#8220;I really don&#8217;t know how the book works but we have to find the emergency portal. We know that it&#8217;s been activated and we've completed step one.&#8221;&#160; Smoke coming from the train station turned green for just a second, long enough for me to notice. The pedestrians didn&#8217;t know anything was wrong.

I think Atena seemed to be ignoring the fact that I was being so rude. He blasted himself with energy a second time, telling me where I was.&#160;He screamed, &#8220;You're in the Inverted, fool!!&#8221;&#160;I could tell&#160;he was calling me a fool as a joke, But what he said&#8230; it explains why everything is so&#8230;. well to put it as a word,

John snuck around back where there were less guards. John was heading towards the armory and pretended to be a guard. John made it to the treasure room but as he was about to enter, he felt something hitting his head and blacked out.

I couldn&#8217;t hear anything. They must have disappeared too! I turned around and saw a crack through the roof. I thought to myself, maybe I can find a way to get up there&#8230;.. I climbed the seats and found a grappling hook&#8230;I wonder why anyone would bring this.&#160;I took the grappling hook and threw it up and on top of the crack. I climbed up the rope and when I got to the rooftop, a small rock hit my head and I fell! I quickly got the hook and hooked it on a horizontal flag pole, and slowly slipped down the rope.

I walked over to Bonker only to see that he was broken. So I started to fix him. Luckily I took 

with P.H.T.F.Y.C. When I finally finished fixing 

Bonker it was already dark out. So with NO fatal attack we managed to get into our tents.

&#160;It also has a solo gaming setup. Sure I&#8217;m rich but that does not mean I&#8217;m a greedy person. I like helping people on other planets like Earth because they don't have advanced technology. I created a website to raise money by live streaming. 

Isabella said, ''Do you wanna play with me?'' The girl said, ''Sure!'' After they played Isabella said ''I didn't get your name. My name is Isabella and I am 9 yrs old. My favorite sport is football and my favorite color is rose gold. Then the girl said, ''My name is Chloe and my favorite sport is football too. I am also 9 yrs old and my favorite color is pink.'' After they were done school, they played and played all day long and by the end, they became friends.

I pulled out my Pod 70000 and texted my Boff (Best Obvious Friend Forever) Riiko. It said I had no connection, WHICH puts even more weight on my back, and I don't even have good posture!&#160;Atena suddenly yanked my arm SO HARD that it felt like it was gonna rip off!! I could have sworn he looked cross eyed for like 0.7 seconds or something! I said to myself: WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?!?

When she got to the room the book started to open by itself! She was scared. She thought the book was going to take her somewhere but she didn't know where. Instead a girl came out of the book. The girl had really long hair. It was this nice red color. She looked like she was about 20 years old. Lia couldn't stop looking at her hair. She was like a princess.

Where we were standing, we could see the emergency portal right below us. I looked around. No bridges went into it and there was no cloud floor. Jim suddenly jumped and I screamed, as a floor of clouds appeared for a split second. Jim bounced into the emergency portal. I stared in horror as the emergency portal started to fade and the clouds began to evaporate. A white glow appeared and Jim stepped out holding the book. We both jumped in!&#160;&#160;

&#160;Zach said &#8220;Yeah I put it on my calendar for uh more exercise!&#8221; He walked back to where he was walking earlier but the portal wasn&#8217;t there. He looked around for a little bit more and it was nowhere to be seen. While rushing back home he was brainstorming in his mind thinking of where it could be.

We discussed a plot diagram and its different parts. Some students saw a roller coaster while others saw a mountain.

For our first creative writing project, we decided to use a book that has a collection of story starters.

Then the rest of the guards shot the monster with spears and a cannon and the monster was knocked into the lava. The remaining guards cheered because they defeated the monster. Suddenly the book started to shake and change. That&#8217;s when the Nether Monster&#8217;s eyes started to glow in the book and he reached his arms out of the book!! His arms were swiping as he climbed out of the book. When he gets out the book he is only 6 feet tall in Jeff&#8217;s world.

They&#8217;re probably making a portal right now. We have to go there. Grab my hand and hold tight. Ok?&#8221; To make us go really fast, I grabbed my jetpack and booster. I flew off and got there in like 10 minutes! We walked into an Egyptian pyramid. &#8220;This is weird, I have never seen anything like this.&#8221; I found a secret door and a plate that was dusty.

Jeff was homeschooled by Tommy the robot. Jeff had to read a book for school. He didn't pick a kid's book, he chose one of the grown up books and something magical happened that he never expected. Will he ever be the same?

Then John went to look for different portals. He went to the town to discover more about the portal. He asked around and everyone said that there was a portal in the treasure room in the fortress. John was going to go into the fortress where the portal will be at. John went into the fortress and saw that there were guards everywhere so John had to sneak in.

&#8220;There is the book!&#8221; The book is lying there glowing on a quartz pedestal. I start running to the book... it is almost gone! All of a sudden lasers start shooting from the wall! &#8220;Ahhh!&#8221; I jump back, nearly getting hit by one of them! &#8220;How will we ever get past those lasers!?&#8221; I ask T.I.B.S

Iris really wants to do something fun. She decides to explore her area only to find a mysterious library with a red book. She opens it and suddenly gets sucked into a different dimension! How will she get back? Will she make it back before anyone finds out that she is missing?

John was looking for the portal. He saw something rusty out of the corner of his eye, so he

went closer. John knew that it was the portal because it had spikes all around and on top of the portal there was a very bright jewel.

&#8220;Yay it&#8217;s my birthday!&#8221; Wait a second.. this happened before! I go down stairs and T.I.B.S. is there with my present. &#8220;I don&#8217;t want a present this year.&#8221; &#8220;Why?&#8221; T.I.B.S. says with a confused look. Hmm, I don't know what to say! &#8220;I have enough stuff." &#8220;Oh okay&#8221; T.I.B.S Responds.

&#160;He realized that he had grown taller and older. So had Ruth!! His hands were as big as a bottle of water! He was standing on a massive lawn. Then he heard his mom calling, &#8220;Zach Breakfast is ready!&#8221;&#160; She was not in their normal house, it was a mansion!

&#8220;There could definitely be another trap.&#8221; T.I.B.S. says walking slowly towards the book. &#8220;Hurry up T.I.B.S.! We only have 10 minutes left!&#8221; I step forward and all of a sudden a huge dark blue robot with massive feet comes breaking through the walls! &#8220;Oops.&#8221;

I’m not only impressed with his ability to use Book Creator but also the confidence he showed while he interacted with the class and answered their questions. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Suddenly, Atena started moving forward into the big fancy building. I started getting up on my feet because I did not want people to think I&#8217;m the laziest person to ever exist. When he got inside he headed left and down to the building basement. Of course I followed him. As he was&#160;heading down the stairs, he lowered his head then stared straight down the shiny&#160;golden looking hallway and started walking faster.

I heard a flop sound and I felt it again... the sticky slime. This time, a lot went on me! I looked like that blob from Hotel Transylvania. Whenever I tried to move, I heard a slurp noise. Finally, I got all the slime all off by turning on the heater on my armour. &#8220;Where did that slime come from? I raised my head to look at the vent again, but this time there was a SLIME MONSTER!!! It guards the hideout. It grabbed my skull and threw me across the room!

John could see a beautiful new world through the gate. There was a forest and behind it a small town. When John was looking around, he saw a man taking a walk near the forest. The man warned John, &#8220;The only way to get back is to find a different portal.&#8221;

I stop hearing trees being crushed. I think to myself - the robot must have been teleported! I need something to break the book. &#8220;There!&#8221; I shout as I spot a hammer. I take the hammer and smash the book. Everything is being restored and time is going backwards! All the way to the morning again.

&#160;I was very curious because when I first got the book I didn't notice the golden glow. Each page was more interesting than the other.&#160;

He replied with, &#8220;Correction: Why are WE here.&#8221; Then I smirked and kept on going forward (wow this is a lot of walking). In a blink of an eye, Atena was suddenly gone&#8230; I was shocked! Then everyone else disappeared? What is going on?!&#160;I decided to quickly run back to the giant door. I turned around and ran towards it, but as I tried to open the door, it was locked!! I tried pounding on the door, to see if the guards outside the door would open it.

Looking at my watch, I realized I only had 20 minutes left. The clouds led me to another direction. I saw another portal. I ran towards it,but then everything started to swirl around again. I got teleported to what seems to be a maze.

John woke up in a cell and he was having a headache from being hit in the head. John was frantically trying to think of a plan to break out. John looked in his pockets and found his pencil case with a paperclip. He used the paper clip to unlock the cell and there were no guards. They must have thought that he is just a kid and he coudn't escape.

Huh, where am I? Who was that?&#8221; &#8220;Or should I say when is it?&#8221; I walk around seeing the empty highways. That's weird, in my time there is always traffic in the airways. I think to myself. I realize I must hurry to find the book before I'm stuck in this time. I see a school with a glow coming from behind it! It must be the book!

I fell backwards through an underground subway station and landed on the tracks shattering them. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a train started coming. I saw a hand trying to grab me and pull me up on the platform. My armour was too heavy and he couldn&#8217;t pull me up. The train was getting closer. It was as loud as a jet plane and I could feel the ground rumbling. I had an idea! I activated invisible on my toolistic-i-watch. The train passed straight through me!

He made his way to the treasure room and saw nobody guarding the treasure room! Looks like I can go in and finally get out of here! John went inside and saw different treasures like jewels, gold and diamonds.

I rubbed the dust off and there were words that I couldn't understand so I entered them into&#160;my watch to translate. Before I could do that, I needed to know what the language is. We're in Cairo, I remember in history we were naming all the languages and the Egyptian language is  Standard Arabic. The message said to point the plate at the light and then at the symbol that looks like two arms.

I got up and started to run. When we got to the right elevator there was a keyhole. &#8220;Great,&#8221; Bonker said, &#8220;We&#8217;re doomed.&#8221;

Even though I really wanted some fun, I knew that I could only be awake for a specific amount of time because I'm being homeschooled tomorrow by P.A.I. WHICH IS SUPER boring...I heard P.A.I. calling my name saying &#8220;never to go to the library&#8221;... I did not really care&#160;though&#8230;P.A.I. is probably just having a self error again.

I still had my bow and arrows from the animal attack. We got to the top of the Mountain after six hours of climbing and saw a huge fort and in the middle of it was the map! I was just about to go into it but Bonker pulled me back. &#8220;Shh!&#8221; he said. There are guards everywhere. &#8220;You're right,&#8221; I sighed.

It looked different from the one he normally sees. He saw a giant slide and two swings. He noticed a blue and black pole on the swings right away. It was suspicious to him. As a class, we brainstormed ideas for Setting, Characters and Problem. Students were given the choice to select ideas they liked and/or create their own. We wanted them to let their imaginations run wild! The result was a diverse collection of stories that we know you will enjoy.

Ms. Campbell and Mr. Nock conferenced with students and assumed the role of editor!

&#160;I quickly ran to the corner and&#160;said, &#8220;Shoot the electric fishing net. The target is the villain. Shoot now!&#8221; The villain got hit and collapsed. &#8220;Tom are you ok?&#8221; I took the tape off of his mouth and he was

breathing heavily. &#8220;Thanks for saving me!&#8221; As I was thinking to myself,&#160;I'm a hero... I failed to hear the large footsteps coming my way, &#8220;WATCH OUT!!!&#8221; my buddy said at the last second. I got tackled through the wall

and grabbed by the neck. I couldn't say anything. I could only mumble.

Climbing a mountain starts with a first step.

These students have taken a great first step!

According to the GPS tracker on my i-Watch, our first destination is the Egyptian Triangle Pyramid. Luckily, the book had a tracking device which we can follow on my watch. Like all royalty, his castle was heavily guarded against villains. Now that he had time travelled, he had left himself vulnerable with no guards. I considered the possibility that the villains from my world might follow me to this new dimension.

He crawled into a cupboard under the sink. Half an hour went by and his parents had not returned. He kept waiting and then one hour later, his mom and dad WERE STILL NOT BACK!!

Jeff was scared out of his skull but he kept quiet and hid. Thirty minutes later, he did not hear or see the monster. So Jeff opened the cupboard and came out. He heard the door knob turning. Jeff thought it could be his parents, he ran to open the door.

I also heard what sounded like a very small voice saying, &#8220;Y-o-u now have one hour to get bac-k to yo-&#160;dimen- tio-n.&#8221; I had my Smart Glass 20000 on. It can detect words and translate them to the best words they can be &#8230; meaning when I heard that voice, I could tell it was saying, &#8220;You now have one hour to get back to your dimension.&#8221; &#160;

The dogs were on top of him eating the food. Sparks were coming out of him. Jeff moved the dogs to safety and said, are you ok? I will get you help! He calls the guards over to help. They took Tommy to the Queen and King who decided to take him to the Mechanic 2000,&#160;the best mechanic in the world who can fix everything! Just before they left,&#160;Jeff&#8217;s mom reminded him that he needs to read a book for homework. Jeff found reading hard, but he knew he needed to work on it.

&#160;Although I had only just found it, P.A.I. had told me not to look in there and not to touch ANYTHING...but I didn't want to listen of course. I mean like...how BORING is that!? I wandered through the library expecting to find something interesting, but I just found a bunch of dusty books and cobwebs. Then I spotted a bright red glow in the distance...

I get to the door of the playground where the light was seemingly coming from. I open the door and all of a sudden&#8230; I am surrounded by the same lime glow I saw when I first time traveled. This place looks more like my time. Phew, I was starting to get worried about that virus. I hear a loud robotic voice say &#8220;YOU HAVE FOUND THE BOOK, MOVING YOU TO YOUR TIME.&#8221;

We started the year reading and analyzing many stories.

We talked about how authors use techniques like "Show Don't Tell" &#38; internal dialogue to help the reader learn more about the characters.

His parents asked, &#8221;but what about the bullies?&#8221; &#8220;Max told me that they left,&#8220; replied Jeff. His parents said, &#8220;You can go back next year.. &#8220;Ok,&#8221; sighed Jeff. Later that very day Jeff went to the kitchen and looked at the news and saw the first case of COVID-19. Jeff said, &#8220;Oh no.. can this week get any worse?!&#8221; Jeff went back to his room to play Minecraft. He was staring at the floor and saw a sharp tooth. Then he looked on his bed and he saw the book and it was glowing but not regularly&#160;it was glowing dark blue.&#160;He walked closer to the book and a portal opened. Jeff took the book and went in.

After tennis, Tommy would get Jeff&#8217;s lunch. Tommy, usually could go up and down the quartz stairs easily. He had a sensor to see if there were objects in his way. As he was bringing Jeff&#8217;s lunch up the stairs, there was a small toy in his way and he tripped and almost lost his balance. Just as he regained his balance, the palace guard dogs rushed at him to get the food he was carrying and he fell down the stairs. Jeff ran down the stairs and he saw Tommy.

When I realized there was a small tunnel on the side of a stage looking platform.&#160;I ran towards it and went through it. When I got through the tunnel I realized that the inside was a library (a dusty one), but I saw that something was...wrong about it. It was as dusty as the one that teleported me here&#8230;I needed to go deeper&#8230;

I just heard bla bla bla . I was only focused on my watch. Ms. Gilbert called out my name,&#160;&#8220;Jake, what fraction is this?&#8221; &#8220;Oh I try to say something smart... uh &#189;?&#8221; My teacher replied, &#8220;Yes correct.&#8221; Surprisingly, I got it right.

I took the book and said, &#8220;How is this book going to stop us from learning history when there are so many books that we&#8217;ve already read in class? Why can&#8217;t we just read this one in class too?&#8221;&#160; T.I.B.S. said &#8220; this book is special. It&#8217;s a time travel book. It will take you back to the 21st century, but never drop it while you're using it. It will activate an emergency portal, but it will only last for one hour and the emergency portal teleports you somewhere.&#8221;&#160; &#8220;I hope I will never have to use the emergency portal,&#8221; I said.

Luckily P.H.T.F.Y.C. taught me some French! I thought. I translated for Bonker, &#8220;You are on our grounds. You have ten seconds to leave.&#8221; &#8220;We can&#8217;t leave now,&#8221; I told the french demons. &#8220;We just need to go through that black hole so we could go home.&#8221; &#8220;Les intrus!&#8221; shouted the demons. &#8220;Run!&#8221; I yelled. The french demons started throwing fireballs at us!

&#160;I looked in the mirror and a bright smile came across my face like a rainbow. I got dressed and raced down the stairs because I smelled something good. It was pancakes, eggs and bacon with strawberry and blueberry toppings. I asked mom for the syrup. I ate everything.

A couple days later, Isabella had her last day of homeschool. Her robotic teacher said, ''Good job Isabella! You made a new friend. I hope we can see each other again. "Well, Bye Isabella!" said her robotic teacher.

HISTORY OF THE YEAR 2020 ON PLANET EARTH

It was really fun putting my imagination into a book that I can read in my hands. Most schools they can't really do that, so I'm really grateful!

While I was walking up the finely polished stairs of the palace, I passed by the portraits of my ancestors and a dark oak door came into sight. I entered my room. Right now the walls, floor and ceiling were projecting to make it look like I was in the middle of the sky. When I closed the door, it projected the sky too. So I was pretty scared. I switched the setting to project a submarine in the middle of the ocean and I opened the book. A white glow surrounded me and it startled me so I dropped the book. 

I felt a hundred centuries passing backwards as I stretched through time.

We used a tool called Flipgrid to have students reflect upon the story writing process &amp; record video responses about what they learned. Many shared strategies that they found helpful when revising their writing.

&#160;If I wasn't in bed in a few hours,&#160;I would lose my VR set for a day, which is super sad because&#160;I play with it 24/7. I'm surprised I&#8217;m not using it now. (it's very fun for me to smack things in VR) AND I would not be able to have any pies that P.A.I makes for me. So I want to make the rest of my time the best time I ever had.

&#8220;Yay, it's my birthday!&#8221; I run through the stone halls with the many doors. To be honest I don't know where half of the doors lead to. I hear my mom yell in the distance &#8220;Don't run in the house!&#8221; When I get down stairs, I see T.I.B.S. holding a present with green and white stripes and a blue bow. T.I.B.S. gives me the present and says, &#8220;I know I should be teaching you, but not right now because it is your birthday!&#8221;

John was in his room reading his book. He loved all about the unexplainable. He would always get that&#160;type of book every time he went to the library. When John went to the library this time he saw an ominous restricted section with red tape and warning signs. He didn't know what it was so he sneakily went in. When he went into the restricted section, he felt a chill down his spine. He saw a lot of&#160;books all about the supernatural.

It was the book! It was so bright that she closed her eyes and when she opened them, She was in another dimension! ''Where am I? she thought nervously. This sofa looks like the one I had when I was a kid. When she looked around the room, she realized this was her childhood house!

In 1992 a girl named Lia was moving houses. Her dad, Peter was her only parent. Her mom died of a car crash when she was six. Now she's 16 and her dad had always been there for her. Lia did not think her mom died. She still believed her mom is somewhere in the world where she could find her. Dad had a book, A special book nobody had ever opened.

Isabella went to sleep in her old house, Dreaming about returning to her old school tomorrow. The next day Isabella woke up. She was nervous, But she knew it well be ok. She got dressed in her old clothing, she got her backpack and went out the door. When she got school she sat down. First period was Math. After, she went outside for recess. But then she saw somebody she could play with because they looked lonely.

I find that listening to my story helps me by knowing if the story makes sense. For example, let's say it’s a run-on sentence. If I read it over then I'll say oh there needs to be a period here.

Listening to someone read my story helps me catch the mistakes I can’t catch reading on my own.

&#8220;Emergency portal has been activated. One hour timer starting now. Say clink to open timer.&#8221;&#160;

I heard a robotic voice say, I was on a normal street on the sidewalk. A sign above me read Rogers Road.&#160; I said clink and my timer showed that I had 59 minutes and 30 seconds. I hoped that it would say some clue to where the emergency portal was, but I was out of luck. I looked around and thought the portal must be close.

Three days on Earth means three hours on Endor. First you have to get the map on the top of Mount Everest which will be the only thing that will show you where the black hole is. This is NOT what I wanted for a birthday surprise! I thought. I need to get home before I fade away and before my mom and dad come home. I&#8217;d rather get home and go to the park than stay here and die.

As rocks were falling all over my body, I saw through a little hole that the falling rocks embedded into the slime monster. I tried digging my way out before the spiky rocks hit me. I finally escaped. There was a lot of rock dust on my face. I grabbed a big jar and put its slime in there. When I finished, my stomach was rumbling. &#8220;I'm so hungry!&#8221; The only thing I have is a jar of slime. &#8220;Should I eat it? It must taste like jello.&#8221; I tried a piece, &#8220;Eww what is wrong with me?!&#8221; I jumped up and stuck to the vent like spider-man!

Isabella thought to herself, I wonder what so special about the book? Could it be magic? She went upstairs to do her homework. Then it was finally time for her to open the book. But wait? The pages were all blank except for two. How weird?! She was taking a closer look as she went up the stairs but, she tripped and dropped the book. She noticed something glowing.

I said clink and saw that there was twenty-five minutes left.&#160; &#8220;Why did you say clink?&#8221; Jim asked.&#160; &#8221;I said clink because it&#8217;s how I check my time. I have twenty-five minutes left before I fade from reality.&#8221; So, there was not enough time to wait half an hour. Jim just ducked below the rope into the train station.&#160; &#8220;Why are you going in?&#8221; I asked. Jim replied, &#8220;I read a book talking about these trains in London, saying that they were never broken but people thought they were so the train station was closed for six hours.&#8221;

When John time travels to another time, his time travel book starts to disintegrate! He must get back! He is faced with dangers BIG and small! Will he come back or will he be stuck in another time FOREVER?!

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that one of my fingers had disappeared! Just then, I heard a robotic voice from the sky announce:

&#8220;1 hour until disappearance! Emergency portal activated.&#8221;

As I walked into the class, my teacher&#8217;s arms were crossed and she was biting&#160;down on her lip. She&#160;says, &#8220;Jake, why are you so late?&#8221; &#8220;Sorry Ms. Gilbert,'' I say as I take a seat. &#8220;Now class, where were we? Oh yes, we&#8217;re learning about fractions and decimals''. Even though I was in class, I really wasn't listening.

I grabbed his body but I had forgotten to turn off my Sticky 3000 so when I tried taking my hands off the slime monster, I couldn&#8217;t. I was stuck to him! I lifted the monster above my head and threw it on the ground and he broke in half. Surprisingly, he healed himself and was put back together. I stuck my hands on his face. I was so angry that my hands had grown as big as a rock and a purple sparkle glowed around my fist,&#160;bright as a star. Both of our fists hit each other and produced an explosion...

&#8220;We&#8217;ve got to go ride that train in the train station!&#8221; I said. It was the green again. We ran over to the train station but as my luck was going, there was a sign that read&#8212;Train Out of Service. It wouldn&#8217;t be ready for half an hour.

There was a box at her door. She opened and there was a book inside. The book looked a bit old like somebody used it a long time ago. She turned it over and on the back there was the date 2003. Isabella ran to his room so excited that she forgot to close the front door. As she was about to start reading the book, she saw there was a message in a bottle. She opened it.

As Atena was dragging me, in the distance, I could see a tall building as big as my tower&#160; (112 feet). I think it was like a castle for like those fancy sophisticated people or something, or is it the Royals that Atena told me about? Oh well&#8230;. when I got to the front door of the building, Atena suddenly stopped. I was like: &#8220;Why did you stop!?&#8221; He was like: &#8220;What!? I thought you were sleeping!&#8221; Then I said: &#8220;SHHH!&#8221;

"Hi Isabella! The book I gave you..well it's going to help you make some friends and not be alone in your house all day doing nothing with no friends. You will also be going to your old school where you're going to find new friends and then you won't be lonely. You can make some fun videos with your friends and post them. You'll be able to watch these videos when you get home in your mansion. And take these two special necklaces. When you make a new friend, you can use it to teleport between dimensions to see each other. I hope this helps you. From, Your Robotic Teacher''

We are very rich so a lot of people try to break in. My castle isn&#8217;t just some ordinary castle, it's a one of a kind advanced castle built with polished iron for bricks and a teleportation station.

Words spun around us as we went a hundred centuries forward in time. We landed in the castle courtyard and I lived happily from that day. Jim was an amazing friend. In that magical book, I had travelled through time to a changed world, a world where cars didn&#8217;t fly and the sky was blue, a world that I visited many times, with many more adventures.

I think it will just drive itself.&#8221;&#160; Jim opened the train car door and stepped in. I followed him through as it closed behind me and the train rushed out of the station. We entered a maze of clouds. I stepped out onto the clouds and they held me. I was very surprised. I thought I would plummet to my death and there would be no more John.

I was weirded out by that message, but then I saw a glowing book laying on my floor behind me. I was curious so I opened the book and suddenly everything around me was twirling and I felt dizzy. The next thing I know is that I&#8217;m on EARTH!! I saw photos of Earth from space but had never been on Earth&#8217;s surface. 

Zach and his dog were having a normal day until they noticed a strange blue and black thing flying around their street. It takes them to the future. Will they get back or be stuck there FOREVER!?!?!
