I was so excited to get on the ship! It was really big! There were so many cool things! Like a sign saying, &#8220;only first class past this point.&#8221; I thought it was funny. There was also a fake cow in a stable which kept going &#8220;moo!&#8221;

In the ship, the first part we went to was first class. The bedrooms were tiny! Each room had about 4 beds inside! The dining room however, was massive! It had the kind of tables that you got at a buffet!

My family is a traveling family, that means we travel all around the world visiting new countries and places. My mum is a blogger, which means she writes a website about our travels. Our blog is called <a href="http://rtwfamilies.com/">www.rtwfamilies.com</a> and I recommend visiting it. Because my mum&#8217;s a blogger we got to go to see the Ss Great Britain for free, as long as we wrote a review of it after. The Ss Great Britain was built in 1843 at the Great Western Dockyard which is in Bristol.

She&#8217;s the first steam ship to go across the Atlantic Ocean.

She&#8217;s 98 metres long and almost ten metres high!

She was made to carry 360 passengers and 130 crew members!

Next we went to the cafe. It was very busy. We had to sit outside because there was no room inside! I ordered a kids cheese toasted sandwich and portion of chips. Overall it was fine, but one thing that wasn&#8217;t very good was that the cutlery wasn&#8217;t washed properly and there were old bits of food left on them.

After lunch we went to the ship again but this time we were going in the ship to experience what it would have been like to live on the ship in the olden days.

It felt amazing when I was all the way up!

I don&#8217;t think I told you, but the main reason I wanted to get on the boat was because there&#8217;s this thing called &#8220;going aloft,&#8221; for kids and I was going to do it. If you don&#8217;t know how to do it here are some simple steps: 1. Throw your safety gear on the floor. 2. Climb quickly up the rigging. 3. Get frostbite from the cold. 4. Safely fall off the rigging into the ocean. Well, that might of been the story in the olden days, but here&#8217;s the real steps: 1. Put on your safety gear. 2. Climb slowly up the rigging. 3. Make sure you have warm clothes on. 4. Climb slowly back down again.

I really wanted to get on her so I asked mum if I could. She said I could, but first we had to go through an exhibition to get there. The exhibition was amazing! There were lots of different bits about the ship and there where these cool bits were you could stamp a certain country onto your ticket!

Next we went to Steerage/3rd class. It was really bad. There were rats in the kitchen, there were no bedrooms, only beds. The only food they could eat was a dry, rock hard biscuit, that was so terrible that they sampled it from the olden days and it&#8217;s still edible today.

When we arrived at the SS Great Britain the first bit was just the gift shop so we went through and when we were through I was amazed! The Ss Great Britain was MASSIVE! It was so cool! There were so many flags on the rigging from all over the world!

After going aloft, me and my family went underneath the ship. It was really cool. We got to see all the dents and marks in her. Underneath she is an amazing fiery orange colour, which makes her unable to miss. On top though, she is black which makes her really stand out.

The last thing we went to was the museum about Brunel and the amazing things he made. It was really cool inside and Brunel&#8217;s face was on the wall. Inside there were designs of the Ss Great Britain, a wall about his life and there was even a game of top trumps about all the things he made.
