Archery was considered as an important medieval sport during the middle ages and it was not only a sport, rather it became an essential skill to be acquired by everyone by law.

Tournaments and Jousts were considered as big sporting events which included dangerous sports and games. Many contestants of these tournaments were used to be killed while playing those dangerous games.&#160;

Colf was specifically played by the members of nobility. It was similar to present-day golf game and it is considered as the ancestor game of Golf.&#160;

He is best known for the Iyric poetry of his Canzoniere. His rediscovery of Cicero's letters is often credited with inventing the 14th-century Renaissance. Mr. Petrarch is also known as the "Father of Humanism." Humanism is a Renaissance cultural movement that turned away from the medieval ideas and revived interest in ancient Greek and Roman thought. Without Mr. Petrarch, we would not have the passion or arts we have today. Mr. Petrarch teaches English here at our school, his specialty is poetry. Mr. Petrarch has touched the lives of all of his students, as well as the faculty at Gutenberg High School. He has supported our humanities and our students who participate in them. Without Mr. Petrarch, our school would not be where it is today.&nbsp;

&#160;Da Vinci&#160;painted the Mona Lisa for a wealthy merchant. He was never paid for the&#160;painting&#160;and it never made it to it's intended client.

Pope Julius hired Michelangelo to began work on his&#160;famous&#160;frescoed&#160;ceiling&#160;in 1508. The ceiling took four years to paint
