St. Cloud students know how to stand up against Hate and spread Love. Here's some advice YOU could follow if you see or hear bullying.

If I saw someone getting bullied, I would stand up for them and say "that's not nice, how would you feel if someone did that to you?"

If I saw someone get bullied I would say that it&#8217;s not nice to treat someone like that just because they look different from you.

 Something that is different / unique about me is that I do the sport fencing and I'm a mix of five different ethnic backgrounds.

I am unique because I am Chinese and Jewish and more!

In 2020, there was a rise in violence and hatred against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. The St. Cloud Elementary School community came together in solidarity to stand up and support their Asian American and Pacific Islander neighbors. St. Cloud Elementary school students wrote this book to teach others how to be an upstander against all forms of hatred.

The artwork in this book was inspired by our Solidarity Storytime discussion related to the books Eyes That Kiss in the Corners by Joanna Ho and My Footprints by Bao Phi and created by St. Cloud families.

Supporting others within and outside our community.

I'm unique because I can almost read... and I'm unique because I have the same freckles as my mom and grandma.

I'm unique because I'm imaginative and creative.

My family is unique because we all have the same initials.

I'm unique because I am named after a saint.

I have a different culture and I am not afraid to talk about it. If I saw somebody who was bullied I would stand up for them.

If you see someone being mean you should find a teacher or a grown-up.  &#160;

You can say that it is not right and you can tell your parent what&#160;is going on or you can tell a teacher and they can tell the person that it is wrong and maybe they will stop.

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

I would stand up for that person and say "you can't talk to that person like that because of their culture because it's wrong."
