“My Peace Crane,” was written by my spunky, little red headed student Leah, who was inspired to write her book based on a true story.

The little boy goes back to his desk with a big smile on his face. My job spreading peace here is done!

I fly and fly and-I AM HERE! I fly into the school and I see a little boy with nothing in his hands. Everybody else is holding one of my siblings. I go up to that little boy and quietly sit on his desk.

I come to life in a sunny classroom on August 30, 2019. A ten year old red headed girl names me Origami Bobby and fills me with messages of inspiration and hope.

The little boy looks at me in shock, he grabs me and runs to the teacher.  &#8220;Look! Look,&#8221; he said &#8220;I found a peace crane!&#8221; The teacher smiles at him, &#8220;I knew it was here! Now go read it.&#8221; 

I fly for days, and days, and days, and days, AND DAYS! Then I make it! Sierra Leone!

PLOT TWIST! I have no clue where to go! So I look, and look, and-oh! There&#8217;s a big map! Let&#8217;s see &#8220;OH MY GOSH! I&#8217;m so close, it&#8217;s 5 kilometres away!&#8221; &#8220;Let&#8217;s go!&#8221;

I see this strange man wearing a carrot for a nose. I mean who even does that!? I eat the carrot and get back on track.

My 19 siblings and I are put into a box and brought to the post office. Our destination: We Yone Child Foundation, Sierra Leone, Africa.

The post officer is clumsy, I fall out! No one notices. A full day goes by and STILL no one notices me. At midnight something happens! I am flying! I never knew I could fly! But how am I supposed to get out of this post office? I look around ...there&#8217;s an open window, this is my chance to go to Sierra Leone!  I&#8217;m going to take a nap and find a snack for energy. It&#8217;s going to be a long flight!  I wake up super excited and energized! I&#8217;ll be able to see my siblings again! 

As I glide down, I land in something. It is white cold! &#8220;WHAT is this??&#8221; A little girl comes around, she picks me up with the white stuff and yells, &#8220;SNOW!&#8221;
