What is slope?
The slope of a line is the measure of the steepness and the direction of the line. and it can be found with a simple formula
The variable for slope is...
m!
m = slope

What is "Rise" and "Run"?
4
The rise and run is how we solve for slope (m). The formula is m=rise/run. When they are divided with each other, they give us the slope.
Rise
Way to remember: You can use the word 'rYse' instead of 'rise' to remember that it means to go up/down on the Y-axis
The "rise" of a line is how much the line goes up (+) or down (-) on the y-axis.
Negative Slope (-m)
Positive Slope (m)
Run
The "run" of a line is how much the line goes left (-) or right (+) on the x-axis.
What is the Slope-Intercept form?
The Slope-Intercept form is the equation of a line with a y-intercept. The formula is 'y=mx+b'.
m = slope
b = y-intercept
b = y-intercept
y = mx + b
5
m = 3 or 3/1
b = -2
b = -2
