How to use this Book.
Loading...
1. This book is a template and made to be shared with the class. Teachers may wish to add more instructions using the sound feature or add / delete pages to tailor the project to their class group.

2. The book has been designed to use with data kits (see photo). Kits might include items like spoons, pegs, pom poms, paddle pop sticks and foam squares. They should also feature a range of colours and sizes.

3. Students will need to sort the data kits by object, colour and size etc. Then photograph, record and chart each data type (the video shows how to adjust the bar graph for each data set).

4. The “understanding data” page features a number of questions that students can answer, plus a rubric that links to the Australian Curriculum. These pages will assist teachers in making their judgements.

5. This book is part of a series on Digital Technology. Other titles include Learning to Code, My Garden Walk and Learning about Digital Systems.
