About this Book

I decided to write this book as a complement to my workshop “Augmented Reality in the Science Classroom”. Soon it became apparent that the purpose of this book is twofold. First, the book provides hands-on examples and lessons on how to use Augmented Reality (AR) in the science classroom. Second, this book highlights some of the amazing new features of the latest iOS Book Creator update, particularly, the addition of comic features.

In this book you can find examples of the pedagogical power of Augmented Reality applications. It is my hope that these examples will provide opportunities for educators to explore some of the ways in which they can enrich their classrooms by using AR, in order to spice up their lessons, and bring teaching concepts to life. In this book you can find step-by-step guides, pictures, and short videos that demonstrate the abilities of numerous apps, which can be used by teachers to present science concepts in an imaginative way.
