Social Skills
Volume 1
Introduction
Humans are social beings who have many different ways to communicate their thoughts and feelings. Learning social skills does not always come naturally. Using social skills appropriately involves developing the awareness of how we communicate with others. This includes what we say (verbal expression), and how we act (non-verbal communication). Knowing and using the rules of social communication can help us to establish and maintain friendships, enhance our learning in the classroom, and become contributing members of our community. Social skills impact every aspect of our lives.

The students who have created this eBook and introductory video are learning by doing...and having fun in the process! Being able to explain and demonstrate appropriate social skills has provided the students with an opportunity to practice social skills and share what they have learned with the world.

Thank you for reading our eBook!
