#TheLibraryLife - The Second Semester Story of Your Library Learning Commons
Loading...
Once upon a time there was a library learning commons, far, far away in the little town of Brampton. In that library worked three fabulous women who loved reading, creating and working with staff and students. This is the story of the magic that happened in the library learning commons in semester two at Louise Arbour Secondary School!
Feeling The Love in February!
We were feeling the love in the library during the month of February as we kicked off the month with our Blind Date With a Book Contest! Students were invited to select one of our books and "rate their date" after they had completed it.
On February 6th we tried something new with our grade 9 Science classes. We had "Coding and Construction" makerspace activities that involved using the Sphero and navigating a maze and creatively building using Lego, Strawbees, Keva planks and more!
We also celebrated Black History Month in a variety of ways. In addition to our books, bookmarks and display board, we also hosted a number of workshops, including a natural hair and skincare workshop by our friends at Loc N Twist and Elle Beauty!
