The Storm

The children in Maple Class have been producing some excellent descriptive writing about a storm using personification.  Enjoy!

Maple Class - Personification

As blackness descended and covered the sky the storm started to grow.

A storm lion's paw blocked up the docks and covered the village.

At the near bye farm you could hear a weather vane scraping against the metal rod,barn doors creaking and a dog howling.

The ice,brisk wind prowled over the bleak shadowy village<br/>

Flashes of the lions eyes sent down lighting ferociously striking the expensive radio towers.

First the heavy drops of rain came down on the village and then came the thunder.

The people ran to there homes like rabbits running to their burrows.
