Speech Bubble
Impressions of the work, that the pupils from the 11 schools in Sønderborg are doing in the 2Imprezs project.
All schools have reduced the CO2 emission over the last years by reducing the use of heat and electricity through installing sensors, doing isolation, replacing ordinary light bulbs with led bulbs etc.
All pupils try to reduce the use of heat and electricity even more. But they also try to reduce the CO2 emission in other ways. Read more in this book.
Nordals Skole
Pupils in 5.b are used to teaching out-door. Their teacher often takes them to visit places outside the school.
These pupils also work with waste separation. Here they tell other pupils how to sort waste.
In the sculpture park Augustiania, the pupils learn about nature's beauty and vulnerability. That we have to protect, what we care about. A good reason to reduce the CO2 emission.
Gråsten Skole
Pupils from the 8th grade reduce CO2 emissions by managing the waste in a better way.
In Sønderborg a lot af waste is burned to provide central heating and electricity. The recycling of waste could lower the emission from the school. E.g. 1 kg of recycled paper saves about 0,8 kg. of CO2 emission.

Project nr. 1: Making the system usable for waste seperation on entire school - 500 pupils have to learn how.
Lysabild Skole
At Lysabild school, the headmaster has chosen, that it is the school's student council, which teach and involve the other pupils in 2imprezs
On the photos Simon Brinck (chairman of the pupil counsil) is teaching pupils of different ages to handle and sort the waste in school and at home. The new waste bins and sustainability were introduced in a practical way. Learning by doing.
Nørreskov-Skolen
The pupils from class 7.a at Nørreskov School have joined the project.
In november 2018 all pupils had a sustainable week. Friday evening the community and families were invited to see the work the pupils had done. The many different pupilworks were connected to the 17 global goals for sustainable development. The pupils in 7.a had focused on how to build a school, where the buildings could have a lower CO2 emission. With the help of models they explained their plans.
