A pitbull is a mixed breed,the bulldog and the terrier. The dog is a decent size.a male pitbull can weigh from a low 35 pounds to a high of 65 pounds. a female can weigh from 30 to 60 pounds. Next is their height. A male's height can be anywhere from 18 to 21 inches tall. A female is smaller with 17 to 20 inches. the types of pitbulls are staffordshire bull terrier, american bulldog, and american staffordshire terrier. Then there is the color. The color of a pitbull can be black, white, brindle, fawn, tan, grey, brown and red.

according to trupanion breed guide, "the pitbull is generally a healthy breed." although pitbulls have the possibility of hip dysplasia and and allergies. A pitbulls life span is 12-14 years and sometimes if their lucky 16 years. Pitbulls sleep 12 to 14 hours a day.

Most people would think that you shouldn't trust your kids alone with a pitbull, but that's not always true. There are many parents who trust not only their kids but their babies as well. The way parents introduced their baby to their pitbull is by letting the pitbull smell the babies clothes and blanket, once the dog got familiar with the scent the baby. Then parents would introduce them to the baby. Lots of parents say its okay and that their dog and baby's are best friends
