Pierogies are commonly filled with many different things. For example they can be filled with potatoes, cabbage, meat, cheese, or sweet fruits. Pierogies can be served with dips such as, sour cream, fried onions, butter, fried bacon, and mushrooms. Rosol is a very popular, traditional Polish meat soup. The main ingredients are chicken, broth, and noodles. People say this soup can help you when you are sick. Golabki are a meat and rice filling in cabbage with tomato sauce. The main ingredients are cabbage, pork, beef, onions, and rice. Golabki are often served during the Christmas season and on festive occasion.
