Skills you need for volleyball, are very few but some things you might need to know is... The first thing you will want to know how to do is how to bump, you have to hit the ball with your forearms and if you don't it will not go the way you want it to. The next thing you will need to know how to do is how to set the ball. Setting is when you have your pointer fingers and your thumbs in a triangle and have your hands relaxed hands your will push the ball up for someone to spike the ball, which is the next thing you need to know how to do. How to spike a ball is you have someone push it up near the top of the net you jump pull one of your arms back and spike it at the other team. The last main thing you will have to know how to do is to serve. When you serve you throw the ball up a little bit then hit it to the other side on the serving line it's just like spiking but you don't have to jump.

Sportsmanship for Volleyball.. First thing is you have to respect the other team no matter if you win or loose. Treat other the way you want to be treated (be nice to your team mates). Also always cheer on your teammates. Do not goof around if you are on the court playing volleyball or watching your teammates play. Lastly always try your best and winning does not matter most of the time.

Some rules for volleyball are... Six players on the court three in the front three in the back. Maximum of three hit per side. Each set goes up to 25 points. In middle school you only play two or three sets. In high school, college, and the Olymics you play 5 sets. Points are made on every serve for winning team of rally (rally-point scoring). A player may not hit the ball twice in a succession. Ball may be played off the net during a volley on a serve. It is illegal to catch, or hold or throw the ball. You can't block a serve inside the 10 foot line. Lastly NO jewelry, not even a hair tie on your wrist.

Volleyball is a game in which players hit a ball back and forth across a net with their hands and sometimes arms and feet. It is one of the world's most popular team sports. This sport is also loved by many countries.

Equipment for Volleyball... The main two things you would need to start volleyball are a volleyball net. It would be good to have volleyball net to get a feel of how you are using skills. Then the second thing you need clearly is a volleyball. If you are going to be on a team you need knee pads and some type of running shoes or you could get court shoes, which are made for volleyball. Then when you are on a team for school volleyball or college volleyball you will get a jersey.

How volleyball started.... Volleyball was originally called Mintonette. William Morgan invented volleyball. He hung a tennis net high in the air He gave his player a basketball. Then told them to hit it over the net with their hands.

Volleyball was introduced to the Olympics in 1964 by Tokyo. Brazil, The United States, and the former Soviet Union were the only team at the beginning.
