Painting is an art in which you can do anything you want. Paint is unique. Sometimes it's different from others because you use different supplies. The most basic things you need are paints. Paints can vary. Brushes can vary too. In size, type, and the bristles. Of course you need something to paint on. You could use paper, or even paint a picture on your wall. But, most likely you need a canvas.

Chapter 3 : Types of Paint
Different types of paint look different and have different effects.Oil paints have a lot of pigment to them allowing them to have richer and more vibrant colors. However, oil paint can take many days to dry.
Acrylic Paint can get darker as it drys, so the colors aren't as vibrant as oil paints. But acrylic paints dry much quicker than oil does.
Water color us water based, so some colors could be diluted. Usually this occurs when you mix too much water with the paint. But you can control how diluted of vibrant a color is.
