introduction

Soccer is a very popular sport. Soccer is played all around the world.

chapter 1

In the sport of soccer there are two goals. One of the goals is for the opposing team and the other goal is for your team. The goal that has your goalie in it you want to protect it. You do not want the ball near your goal just in case the other team shoots and scores. The idea is for one team to score on the other teams goal. By the end of the game you want to have more goals than the opposing team. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins.

chapter 2

The game of soccer has a lot of rules. There is a rule called offside. This rule is for people not to just sit in front of the other teams goal. Another rule is out of bounds like many other sports. Out of bounds Is when the ball goes past the white lines on the side of the field and then it will be the other teams ball. There are also consequences if you play cheap like tripping people and stuff. If you trip from the front you will get spoken too by the referee and you can get a yellow card and you also mite have to sit out for 5 minutes then you can come back in. A red card is when you get into a fight or you trip from the back. A red card means you are kicked out of the game and maybe even the next few games.

chapter 3

In the sport of soccer you have to have certain equipment to play the sport. You have to have shin guards so you do not get hurt. They protect your shins so you do not get hit by cleats there. Also in soccer you have to wear cleats so you can get traction. When you have cleats you have to have a certain type of cleats according to the age you are and the level you play. If you are sixteen or younger you have to wear plastic studs on the bottom of your cleats. If you are above 16 or if you play on a certain level you can wear metal cleats.If you are on a team you and you team mates have to have jerseys shorts and socks so you know who is on your team.

soccer can be a very expensive sport. It depends on what level you play. One of the most costly parts of soccer is the cleats. cleats can range from 40 dollars to 400 dollars. the more expensive cleats are for older kids and the least expensive ones are for the younger kids or less experienced people. Also you need a jersey with a number and your name on it so that cost money but if you fund raise you could get your Jersey and shorts for less money. If you played on a travel soccer team you would have to get a warm up set such as a warm up jacket and pants that cost around 100 dollars to get a warm up set. On top of that if you travel you have to pay for the hotel and the get into the tournament. Soccer may be a little bit of money but i think its really fun!
